Great pics! Thanks for posting ones from various locations, each with different lighting. Definitely underscores the changing nature of the Copper Ruby color. (I'll say it again - that's an extraordinarily accurate name for color.)

The interior definitely looks great too - a lot of Porsche class! Nice in all respects. Enjoy the new ride!

just picked up this agate/agate '15 macan turbo end of march. i got the car from carvana and it was kind of a hot mess. it's a very long story but carvana has a liberal warranty policy and you can threaten to return the car for a 100% refund in the first 7 days if they don't fix it which is exactly what i did. thousands of dollars later on carvana's dime it's now in tip top shape.

since purchasing i have done flat 6 lower links to drop it by 1" all around, cobb stage 1 ECU tune, tinted windows with 3M ceramic for heat rejection, 5 year gtechniq ceramic coating, and installed the Mr12Volt carplay module. the car looks and drives great and goes like stink. it's the perfect daily for me, i absolutely love it.

I know you mentioned it had its share of issues when you bought it but it looks great - body and paint and wheels look brand new.

i have a great detailer who spent 2 days correcting the paint. overall, it was in great shape both inside and out cosmetically. the headlights do have the very common issue of tiny spiderweb micro fractures all throughout the lenses but carvana authorized replacements ($7k OEM parts and labor!).

the bulk of the issues were mechanical. it had been sitting for over a year and had pollen caked in every exterior crease. i would post photos but it was truly disgusting. the tech noted it was driving down on power. rodents made a nest in the engine bay, dining on the high pressure fuel wiring. there was oil everywhere in the underbelly tray, we thought everything from the valves cover to the turbos and the charge pipes were leaking. the initial PPI estimate was $12k in repairs hahah.

i initially freaked out and decided to walk but then i calmed down and realized i don't have to pay for it, and if i don't fix this car some other poor person not knowing any better might get stuck with a real mess. my shop got it all fixed up good as new - the leaks turned out to be the oil pans which were very fixable.

it looks and drives fantastic now, all with just a little patience on my part and carvana's pocketbook :D

That's sad that a nice Macan would have been allowed to sit so long before Carvana acquired it. It's good that they have the return policy in place you outlined, but on the other hand disappointing that the vehicle wasn't gone through before before putting it on the market. (I have no doubt that their thought was to get it out there and hope that the buyer was not knowledgeable enough to squawk.)

Glad it worked out in the end but I can see how you would have initially wanted to run away at full speed - I would have been the same. Now you not only have a very nice Macan but one that is happy to have been rescued! Is the color Quartzite Grey Metallic?

it was actually carvana where the car sat! they acquired it in april of last year and i bought it six weeks ago so they had it for 11 months. no idea if it was posted during that entire year but they are definitely known for not really inspecting cars at all when acquiring them.

all kinds of red flags here. a sane person would not have done this but i wanted to get into a turbo on the cheap and it was exactly the color and options i wanted. it helped it had been serviced at the same indie shop yearly per the carfax and when i called the shop they sent me every single service record going back to 2017 so i was pretty confident there was nothing wrong that couldn't be fixed. all the rest i figured i could squeeze carvana's policy for all it was worth and here we are. even better the car now has a fun story to tell.

the color is agate gray metallic with agate interior. agate interior is said to be the poor man's cocoa interior without actually having to pay for the cocoa upgrade. it's definitely more brown that gray, i absolutely love it. agate exterior hides dirt rather well, which was a must for me in my daily.

My wife noticed I was checking out the numerous pictures of Macans and asked, " Have you posted up mine yet? " After I mentioned I had not but would be happy to she was a happy camper. She loves the Macan S and though these aren't classy staged shots, but just a couple in the driveway of our house, the car is her SUV and Sports Car rolled into one!

Quite the story, glad you stuck with it and restored the car to its current state.
