Great sentiments - nicely done.

When the name of my Porsche repair shop was "Porsche Haus". I retired the license plate, and the ex sold the car, a beautiful 1973 914 2.0. Porsche's attorney asked me to change the name of the business...or I would see them in court. Of course I acquiesced.
Nice plate! Curious how protective Porsche is about its name -- more so than most brands it seems. I just typed Mercedes Repair into Yelp and the first 5 businesses all had Mercedes in their name.
BMW also sent me a letter about the license plate frame in the picture, stating I should stop using their logo on my frames.

You'd think they'd appreciate the free PR but I guess not. Apparently, there are plenty of companies every bit as ornery as the NFL, maybe more so. They need to leave us little guys and gals alone! Adulation and all of that as in the Oscar Wilde quote that “Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness.”

On second thought, maybe "they" aren't so great and maybe we are not so mediocre!

A pun with a lighthearted, somewhat ambiguous message. Maybe a little effort to solve, but all the info needed is right there, and the payoff is a light chuckle for the puzzler. Or a groan.
