Welcome aboard Mike! Love the 951 in white!migreig wrote: Tue Apr 08, 2025 8:58 pm Hey all, thanks for having me! New here, and new to Porsches. Bought my first 944 Turbo in September of last year and I've now sold it and purchased a nicer example of the same car.
Name: Mike
Location: Victoria, BC
Current fun cars: '86 951 in White, '95 944 Turbo and a 2022 Triumph T120 Black (ok, not a car)
Occupation: marketer
Hoping to contribute here! I'm really excited about fixing up this 951. I'm going to tackle my timing belt in a couple of months and likely going to need some guidance.
Hello, I bought my first Porsche and have been restoring it for three years now.
It is a 924s and it turned out to be an SE version. I was pretty happy to find out about this.
Currently doin all the head gasket, water pump, timing belt and balance shaft belt.
I now need the Carpokes tensioning tool due to not being able to find an ar word tool for sale on eBay.
Nice to be here on Carpokes! It looks like a great forum.

@Ben924SE & @Mylesprodriver glad you both found CARPOKES and decided to join. There is a great Transaxle crowd here with lots of depth on how to get things corrected and running. THANK YOU!

Good afternoon, Carpokes! Just spent an hour in the PIWIS and ThinkDiag threads. Great information there.
I previously owned a 944 Turbo, a 944 S2 (this is God’s weekend ride), and a 987.2 Boxster. My current car is 981 Cayman in Anthracite Brown over Luxor beige—which I think is Porsche perfect.

Welcome aboard Scott. Seems to be a lot of people here who evolved to Caymans from the 944 series -- I guess it's the natural evolution!
