I previously owned a 944 Turbo, a 944 S2 (this is God’s weekend ride), and a 987.2 Boxsster. My current car is 981 Cayman in Anthracite Brown over Luxor beige—which I think is Porsche perfect.
I agree! Beautiful car and photo! Welcome to Carpokes!

Welcome aboard Scott. Seems to be a lot of people here who evolved to Caymans from the 944 series -- I guess it's the natural evolution! Great picture!!
Thank you, Tom. Maybe it is the hatchback?

Heh, Evil Scott, that picture sure looks like the Grand Tetons and I left a " Carpokes " card on the windshield of a Cayman that sure looks like a possible twin to yours. Any chance that might be the beautiful beast you have pictured. What a great place to do some canyon carving and if any of this is correct you can congratulate my wife and I for getting a " Gather " restaurant in Omaha.......I would imagine you have eaten there if my guess on the area is correct.

Welcome!

Hi Willy, that was not me, but thank you nonetheless. Congrats to you and your misses as well.

Relatively new member to this group from South Carolina.
A known car freak from teen days, in no particular chronological order, I have experienced the joy (and a little misery) of owning BMW, Mercedes Benz, Triumph, Peugeot, Mercury Capri, Chevy, Lexus, and Porsche, saving the best for last.
Started out with a 1979 911 SC but soon became enthralled with the 930 turbo, and the rest is history. I list the thread of my ownership of fun cars, none of which were daily drivers.
1979 911 SC (beige over cork)
1979 930 (Indiana Red over cork)
1989 930 (White over lipstick)
1989 930 cabriolet (marina blue over linen)
1978 930 (yellow over black)
1989 930 cabriolet (marina blue- sold to guy in La and bought it back 2 years later
2005 930 turbo S (atlas gray over black)
2004 911 turbo (arctic silver over black)
2011 911 turbo s cabriolet (white over black) my current ride!

I owned only 2 of these cars at the same time- the yellow 930 and the 89 cabriolet.
This ownership spans nearly 40 years from my 40s to now my mid 70s.
I “enjoyed” these cars on a limited basis in order to keep the miles low and the values high.
If you service these cars properly you not only gain pleasure but you can retain value.
I only wish I had been able to still own all of them!

Looking forward to exploring the “CarPokes” site- these guys have come up with a great idea!
Happy and safe motoring!

Hey y’all, I pulled the latest issue of Panorama out of the mailbox and ran across an ad for this forum.

I’m glad to be here. I have a 2024 Carrera 4GTS, hence the member name 4GrinsThenSmiles.

The 4GTS is Jet Black Metallic with Black leather interior. It came of the boat and was delivered to me in June.

Thanks for the forum!
