Bought my 5th Porsche a month ago, my first was 50 years prior.
The only one l’m the first owner of is the 5th. Don’t remember what years the 914’s were, but they were well used by the time I got them.
1) 914/4 Yellow, quite a beater, but l loved it. It died in El Paso, TX in ‘75.
2) 914/4 Orange, traded it on an MR2 (brand new) in ‘85.
3) ‘85 911 Targa ‘Whale Tail’…finally got a 911.
4) ‘17 911 Targa 4S…just a gorgeous beast.
5) ‘25 718 Boxster GTS 4.0…best yet.
Been a Porschephile for quite sometime.
Outstanding Porsche history! You'll continue to enjoy the marque with your beautiful new 718 GTS - they are so much fun to drive. Your "best yet" comment is apt.
Warm welcome to Carpokes - we're happy to have you here.

Thanks for joining Carpokes. I also have a GTS 4.0. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned. They are an endangered species. Please post a bunch of pictures if you feel so inclined. Enjoy the long weekend.
Regards,
Larry

EEProf ....welcome from another Cayman GTS owner ( 2024 ) and though I have only had one other Porsche ( my wife's Macan S ) I have been a PCA Instructor for 25 years and I loved the Cayman the minute it landed on the US shores. I had a student with a new 2006 those many years back and I was smitten ( reminded me of the 904 I saw race back in the 60s ). I have been lucky to have many extremely fun sports machines and the GTS ranks in the top 10 easily. Great fun on the track and if you need any advice blueline, J-Dub, and I are just a few of the Trackrats who will be glad to help you with ideas, tire choices, etc.

Howdy,
New guy here. Greetings from Palm Springs - Coachella Valley Area, CA. We have a very active Porsche community here in our desert resort area. Almost 400 members in a PCA region that is less than 2 years old. Come on out and join us! Something going on almost every week.
We drive yours, mine and ours. Hers is a 2014 981 Boxster, mine is a 2011 997.2 C4S Cab and our workhorse is a 2016 958 Cayenne. There used to be Harleys in the garage but age and arthritis has taken its toll on the biker lifestyle. Oh, well, just another 1st world problem. Thanks for the fun!

Hello everyone. I’m Rob from Vancouver, BC with a recently acquired 718 GT4 as my weekend fun car. In the past I owned a 2001 996 for quite a few years and that experience has lead to my current car.
Mighty impressed with the GT4’s abilities out of the box but I’ve modified the suspension slightly to make it more track focused. It’s a hoot !
