Have quite a few friends in Cactusland who have run at Indy over the years and it seems the more they run there the more they like it as it looks easy, but to go fast you have to realize it is pretty technical. Now that is what they tell me, so if I am incorrect in this statement , remember my track time is over this year , except my son and I may get in one last autocross this coming weekend.

Looks like a challenging, but enjoyable track. Agreed, a teleporter sure would be nice.

I intend to move up to wider tires next year....probably the GT4/Spyder configuration. What tires were you using and on what wheels & wheel sizes?

Hi Tree - not sure if your question was to me or Willy or Jdub, but OEM/stock for my GT4 are 245/35-20 front and 295/30-20 rear.

However, for track I switched earlier this year to 19" forged Apex wheels and am currently running 265/35-19 ft and 295/35-19 rear. (MPSC2 tires now and probably Hoosier A7's next season.)

@Treemagnet The OEM for my GTS was 235/35/20 and 265/35/20. After I finished those I moved to the GT4 size of 245/35/20 and 295/30/20 N0 PS4S on my stock wheels as my every day set, I highly recommend you consider doing something similar.

My track wheels are OZ Ultralegrra HLT 19 x 8.5 53 offset and 19 x 10 40 offset and I am running 255/35 and 285/35 Bridgestone RE-71RS tires.

@WillyDaP @Treemagnet Yes INDE is a great track. I have done 8 track days with this car this year and 1 track day with my R32. Of the 8 days with the Cayman, 5 of them have been at INDE. It is often said it is the best track in Arizona. Very technical, blind turns and lots of configurations. Highly recommended for sure.

INDE looks fun. Wouldn't it be great if we could all meet there for a track day weekend!!

Still working on my teleportation machine. I have a few bugs to work out...

By the way, I absolutely love the references to the great Warbirds that each of the turns has been given. Outstanding!

That alone is enticement to visit.

The facility is at a small airport and there are a bunch or fighter jets and other airplanes on display all over the main area. I don't actually know the backstory to the plane connection.

If remember correctly the owner and his family were in the Aviation Business, so the planes were part of his business DNA. I believe the airstrip was built at the same time as the track and I know a friend of mine in Tucson told me years ago the guy who built the Cactus Country Club for Cars was very successful in aviation and other venues. So cool you were able to go have a great time there , and nice to know that all the reports I have gotten from my warm weather buddies was true -- technical track but a ton of fun.

Got over 1300 miles yesterday on my break in miles , so posting a few pictures of some exciting stops along the way, ha.

Good progress and good pics - I like old structures that are lying about, often in the middle of nowhere, especially when they have a Porsche in the foreground!

I was talking to a guy who has done many days at the Porsche Experience Center in Los Angles and he asked a few of the driving instructors and techs at PEC and they all told them they drive the car for 100 miles then let them rip on the track. Food for thought.
