Hi! I have an early 944 that's beat to hell, but I love it and it loves to drive!
I'm here because I need the timing belt tool - really great work, I appreciate the contribution. Hopefully I can finish some things I've been cooking on for a while and give a little back to the community.

Looks like you have done a lot to your 86 Turbo. A couple points you might consider is the rear trans mount. If it still original, I'd hazard a bet its pretty chewed up. One fix is to remove it, box it in with tape, then pour urethane into it and let it cure. If you haven't seen anything on this, search here for details. I did that with mine and it made a noticeable difference in transitional maneuvers. Another common alteration is using 968 castor blocks....bolts right in.
There is a great deal of info on the 951 board and a lot of experienced members to pull from.
Tom's suggestion about reposting on the 951 board makes a lot of sense as you will get right in the middle of those that know.
Welcome to CARPOKES and thank you for joining!

New to carspokes but long time member on Rennlist. My name is Scott and honored to be here and excited to learn from the community.
First Porsche I ever had was a 2014 Cayman S and since then have been addicted to Porsches.
Current stable is:
2018 991.2 GT3 (modified for track use, MCS 3-way, SP Motorsports Stage 4 Suspension, 19" Forgelines with R7 slicks, etc)
2020 Macan - wife's car
2022 Taycan 4 Cross Turismo - my daily
Joined because I just fitted a JCR exhaust on the GT3 and heard about this great tool called the Track Nanny and wanted to learn more about them and possibly buy one if they're still around!

Sounds as if your 944 is well used, but that's the great aspect of this website, all vehicle conditions and owners are welcome and plenty of 944 stories are about resuscitation. My hats off to you as you are using the car as it was designed to be used and driven!
Two posters on the 924/944/968 board you might want to look up are PSU_CRASH who is rehabbing his 944, and Jsheradin with a thread PARTS ONLY NOT OPERABLE NO TITLE. Both of these guys never cease to amaze me in showing what can be done and how great the basic design of the 944 lends itself to longevity.

Great garage full of Porsches there! Carpokes is full of rennlist refugees, myself included, so welcome aboard! And, yes, for the time being I am still making the Track Nanny. I'm getting to the end of my supply of machine-assembled PCB's though and have not yet decided whether to run another batch -- so get'm while they last.

Nicely balanced cross section of vehicles.
Glad you found us and perhaps we could see some photos of the Track 991.
Welcome to CARPOKES, the open and friendly site where the cars are the stars and the focal point.

Ghost,
Welcome to another TrackRat on Carpokes and I also am a firm believer in Motion Control Suspensions. I had their shocks on my Boss 302S when I was racing W2W and my son has them on his EVO9 Autocross monster. Back when I was selling Vipers we installed hundreds of sets on customer's Vipers, including ACR X's --- we saw an improvement over the factory race KWs. Consider posting some pics or videos when you get your GT3 on track and we would all enjoy pics of all your Porsche play things, ha.
