What did you do to make your 718 unique?
A few things that I think are unique about my car, especially where I live, are:
Had the car covered in Xpel Stealth PPF
Swapped out the gold wheel center caps for silver and black ones
Installed Numeric pedals
Instead of just going with a Numeric short shifter, I also installed their cables - what a difference they made in shifting!

I'm not normally the biggest fan of the satin-look car finish (I'm too traditional I guess), but your car looks great! Also, being a wrap rather than paint, you retain flexibility. The center caps are subtle and definitely match the look.
Pedals look very good too. I wasn't familiar with Numeric and was curious to find out more so I went to their website. Made of billet aluminum which is excellent - Cerakote too which is another big plus. They look to be very high quality. Are you pleased with them and how they perform considering that they are a bit larger than stock? Any issues so far?

Looking good. I like seeing the things that you all are doing to your cars. It's pretty cool!718-4Me wrote: Fri Feb 03, 2023 10:26 am It's way too cold to open the garage door for more images, but I think I have one more for now!
Speaking of cool, looks like you and TheBeav are a good many digits below 0°F tonight in MA. Cars and pets and people def need to stay inside! Spent a year or so stationed in Ayer not far from Loeminster many, many years ago. Just checked and it's -10F in Ayer. That's chilly!

Thanks! I REALLY love the look and given the fact that I mostly drive on back roads where I live, it's nice to have the option to replace the PPF on the panel that gets so beat up by rocks from the front tires!blueline wrote: Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:05 pm @Growler48

The Numeric pedals work great! There is no downside to them. The larger size is a plus when you roll the ball of your foot to heel-toe downshift. I'm seeing a little wear on the clutch pedal, put overall, they still look new.
The local Porsche club has a lot of their DE and AutoX events at Ayer!blueline wrote: Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:17 pmLooking good. I like seeing the things that you all are doing to your cars. Very cool! I was stationed at Ft Devens for over a year. Ayer on one side and Shirley on the other. Visits up the road to Loeminster. I cannot imagine what it looks like there now 'cause it was back in the Mesozoic era when I was there. Great memories with visits to Baahstan, my caas (a crappy old Bel Air followed by a nice like-new '65 2dr 326ci Le Mans 4-sp that was 6-years old with only about 25k miles when I got it) and, of course, rotaries, new to me then but now common in many other states.TheBeav wrote: Sat Feb 04, 2023 3:01 pmThe local Porsche club has a lot of their DE and AutoX events at Ayer!blueline wrote: Fri Feb 03, 2023 9:17 pmLooking good. Met a couple who had a 911 912 (maybe a '68) that I got to ride around in a few times. One of those wow moments! Our company CO was from Boston and had never had a DL. I'd drive him around at times when he wanted to go somewhere; a great guy and a hoot to be around, funny as hell - loved basketball - but couldn't drive!

Most of what I've done is track oriented, but I'm fascinated with all of the other kinds of mods discussed on this thread. I found a company, P1 Designs that looks to have high quality products. https://p1designs.com/
Did your inserts come from them?
Post a pic or two if you can.

They did and Kim and her husband are both fantastic to work with. I actually ordered about 30 swatches from different companies for fabrics just to differentiate the car a little bit. Thought I would go a little bit retro with the blue black Pasha. She then ordered the fabric for me and made the inserts. Should be here any day now and I will post pics once it’s available. I can’t recommend P1 designs enough.blueline wrote: Sun Feb 05, 2023 9:14 amMost of what I've done is track oriented, but I'm fascinated with all of the other kinds of mods discussed on this thread.
