PIWIS (both original and "liberated") are all in German in the Engineering section where most coding is done. I don't have one, so I can't speak to customer support and service.
Both of the items you list can be done with Launch X431 tools, which have a lot more (but still not complete) translations to English. Launch tools can be more affordable than PIWIS tools. Here's the thread I started on the X431, with many of the same things done as in this thread.

@718socal
The purpose of this message is to inquire about your posting on PIWIS coding for the 718 models.
The March 1, 2023, post indicates you are using a clone version of the PIWIS tool. Where did you purchase the tool, and did you encounter any setup or communication problems? Dose the clone PIWIS tool have technical support and did you need customer support to resolve any problems.
Most of the screen captures are in what appears to be German, the PIWIS tools support English?
My goals are to disable the auto stop/start feature or remember the last state. In addition to enable the instrument cluster lights with ignition is on, independent of the light switch position.
I responded to your PM with the same questions

Reviving this thread. Just coded a couple Spyder RS and have done quite a few 992 coding lately. Any questions hit me up.

Hey 718socal, did you code the 992's using the Launch X431 tool? Do you know if that tool can program 992's spoiler deployment to different speeds and basic stuff like resetting the oil change counter? Thanks!

Rumor has it that the GT4RS and Spyder RS have the same suspension components, yet the GT4RS is much stiffer on the road due to programming. The GT4 is stiffer by all reports, but the part about the two cars sharing the same parts came from a Porsche tech who mentioned it somewhat in passing. If that's true, are you seeing anything in the GT4 code that would allow you to give it the Spyder's suspension tune?

Sorry I haven't checked my inbox for a while. I think we have looked at this before but never got any conclusive answer if the 4RS and SRS have the same suspension. If they do, we can try flashing the SRS chassis control module firmware to the 4RS to get a softer ride just like they are doing with the S/T suspension coding on 992.1 GT3/Touring.

No idea on X431. I believe there is a thread on X431 coding. Maybe ask your question there

Is the DSC Sport controller available for both 4RS and SRS? That would be the way to go to make the ride softer

I’ve been reading through this thread and there’s lots of good info. Can someone recommend a decent device to start programming on a 2021 718 with?
We are body swapping it so I need to eliminate warning messages for missing lights and such since we’re getting rid of the fancy lights.
Also any suggestions for threads or video tutorials on programming for beginners.

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by "body swapping" but if you are trying to eliminate function checks, you are going to probably need a full-on Porsche PIWIS system. Even that may not be able to disable all the function checks. I'm almost positive that neither the Launch X431 or ThinkDiag products can do that.
