I was going back to the Porsche USA site that allows a person to build a car and get the code. I see now that it was taking me back to my current car. Maybe I didn't save the code for my Turbo build?Larry C wrote: Mon Jul 25, 2022 12:24 pm.....I really want to look up your car’s build but neither Porsche code seem to work. ‘Love the exterior and interior colors...
I went back to the ten page order sheets. Page 9 shows the code that the Porsche dealership sent me. It has the black interior, the Lightweight Package, and the Turbo S wheels. It shows the 18-way sport seats. It shows the black tailpipes while I wanted silver. It is PPMCXZ42 (I misread the 2 as a 3?).
It has 4 pages of descriptions of the standard features but doesn't include everything in the optional LW Package. It has the optional Turbo S wheels ($3620).
The delivery is $1460 with the $1000 gas guzzler tax. Total = $200,370.
I'll go back to me notes for the car that I built last week. Or, just build it again and generate a code.
Thanks for your help.

Yes, that worked. It does have a black interior. Are you leaning towards the burgundy or black interior?

The site seems to default to black when I pick the Burgundy with the LW package. Also, It looks like the axle lift is an option (IMO, required since the LW PASM is 10mm lower).
I am still not sure the 18-way sport seats are what I want (the other is called 18-way bucket seats). I am not sure what the 930 Package Interior Package is (with quilting on the seats)?
I am also not sure when the deposit will be due. They stated they need it as the dealership order goes to the factory.

I studied the seats a lot when I ordered mine, and I got the 18-way adjustable seats. There are 4 seats available: 4-way adjustable; 14-way adjustable; 18-way adjustable; and the "Full Bucket Seats" (aka Light Weight Bucket Seats (LWBS)). The LWBS look very cool and I'm sure are great on a track, but unless you are skinny, young, and agile, they make getting in and out of the car kind of an ordeal -- enough so that you'll find yourself taking the truck to the store to avoid the hassle.... And if you are my size, they feel more like a clamp than a seat.
From everything you've said, I think you'd be happiest with one of the other seat options.
On that build spec, one thing to consider is that you have the light weight package selected for $11,400 without the LWBS's. I'm not sure you are getting $11,400 worth of value there. For the same $11,400 you can get the light weight package with the LWBS. So you'd basically be paying for those seats, but not getting them. Personally, I'd either ditch the light weight package entirely, or get it with the LWBS. In terms of saving weight, the light weight package offer VERY little weight reduction without the LWBS -- like 11 pounds total by my math if you get the 18-way seats. The car would actually be lighter overall without the lightweight package and the 4-way seats. All that said, on this car, with all of its massive power and grip, I don't think that 20 pounds here or there are worth thinking about. That's the difference between a full tank of gas and 7/8ths of a tank.... Ditch the lightweight package and get the 18-way seats with PASM and the front axle lift, and you'll be a happy camper -- just my two cents.

I totally agree. That's what I did and could not be happier I did!

Thanks, I agree.Tom wrote: Tue Jul 26, 2022 9:51 am..I studied the seats a lot when I ordered mine, and I got the 18-way adjustable seats. There are 4 seats available: 4-way adjustable; 14-way adjustable; 18-way adjustable; and the "Full Bucket Seats" (aka Light Weight Bucket Seats (LWBS)..
To be clear:
1) The 4-way is forward and back on the sitting and with forward and back on the back position? No electric adjustments as it's all manual.
2) The 14-way has electric controls to find the best spot? The above with some electric lower back settings? It has memory.
3) The 18-way allows electric seat side bolters (with memory.
4) The Full Bucket Seats have the 'carbon fiber' stiff frame with minimum comfort? It's a racing seat and not particularly comfy? It may have slots in the upper back setting for a harness strap?
Have you considered working for Porsche?
Just quoting here:

Yes, that was my first choice at first.

I agree and this was my original 2nd choice. It should be called the slightly lighter option----
It's nice to have the LW Package with the thinner glass and "exclusive design exhaust tailpipes" with the computer steering code. Yet, is it really worth the extra price?

I will probaly just dump the LW and go the 18-way.
Although I have the 4-way on my current 992. It's comfortable, and no one else drives it (my wife has never driven one of my seven 911's (she says they are loud and too stiff). I don't argue.

I think it's just a stock picture to give the basic idea of Agate Grey over Bordeaux leather. The car is probably an S, since it has the brakes and headlights, etc. but I don't know of any way to tell them apart if it's a non-S with those options.Larry C wrote: Tue Jul 26, 2022 4:39 pm
