I get when I want to include your reply? Never seen anything like that..

Anyway… ya the lights might be real cool. I was hoping someone also had them

Nice car lineup you have!! I use to have more than one, then realized the kids will be hitting Kollege soon so I cashed in 🤣
Thanks!

Not sure what's going on with the "report this post" prompt that you're seeing. I am not seeing it appear automatically as you described (and never have as far as I can recall). So far no one else has said anything. Maybe I'm in trouble with the Carpokes guardians!

When you have a moment, try some reply attempts to others and again to me to see if it's still there. If it is, might see if logging off and back on helps. Cache shouldn't make a difference but I guess you could clear the Carpokes cookie(s) to rule any of that out.

If it persists, please let me know and we'll try to track it down. Thanks for the heads up!
Like you said above I hit the “!” Icon… I just tried it again. Gosh, I’m sorry 😂

All good! Glad it wasn't something else. Good to know I'm not in trouble.

Regarding cars - kids, family, college (yikes!), and all the rest that's important take priority but once they are past and your are, ahem, "older" then it's sometimes easier to indulge. :D

I indulged back in 2015 when everyone wanted a 991 GT3 and ran across the 2010, at what I then considered to be a ton of cash for a 5yr old car, but it was the dream car… who knew what they would top out at.. my current 997.2 Carrera is no GT3, but it’s close enough given the amount . What’s nuts now, 100k for anything decent is the norm. Wild!!

That's so true. Used or new is in the stratosphere and Porsche has pretty much stated that's where they want to place themselves, even more so than in the recent past.

Panorama's editorial this month was spot on and pointed a pretty strong accusatory finger at Porsche for not having any entry level cars, especially sports cars. They mentioned the detriment that's causing as their customer base ages. It will only get worse if Porsche doesn't reconsider their long-term strategy a bit - might come back to haunt them some day. Those who might aspire to a Porsche have no point of entrance.

The entire editorial in Pano was concise and to the point. It was good.

Agree. Saying " our entry car is a used Porsche " doesn't work anymore, obviously. I'm even considering selling my 4.0 simply because it's so valuable right now and at 75 my sports car driving days are limited. My first Porsche was a 1983 944, listed for $18,500. Now a decent condition 944 is bringing almost that much ( no accounting for inflation). But in order to be a high volume car maker Porsche has to han entry level vehicle cheap enough for young buyers, otherwise they will be like Ferrari.

Great article! Ya they’ve priced themselves out of a generation, literally.. the 2024 ev base macan starts at 80k for god sake…. I know I caused the off topic here.. but in 2015 I paid like 103k for a 5yr old GT3… sold it for double. Owned it for 7-8yrs.. it’s better than stocks… cashing in!? Guilty! But I still have a great 911… I don’t think Porsche can correct the entry level thing now… it’s to late..
My wife wants that new macan… and those swivel garage doors on the first few pages… chit, there goes the profit🤦‍♂️

And this on top of the fact that Porsche is killing the unbelievably fine 718 ICE which at least had some vestiges of an affordable car. I don't get it unless they are so firmly in bed with the Euro and US bureaucrats that they'll do whatever is asked of them, no questions asked.

@GT3Twenty10

Couldn't agree more.

Oh well, please post another of your fine-looking garage pics at some point today so as to get the thread back on topic. I engineered a good hijack. Sorry about that!

That 718 will sadly be EV only.. they won’t make that 4RS for long and they already killed the GT4. And, do we really need 29-30 variations of the 911? They hardly make one model and 700 models of another. The 718 is a fabulous chassis. I’m a bit partial to the 987, but let’s face it, they aren’t pretty in every angle. The 987 didn’t have its own identity and it looked like a troubled sibling (kinda). I sold my 987 too… it was a built 3.8 but I rest better not owning an IMS car
