@murphsea The Siem Aristotle is currently 613nm due East of Halifax. Appears to be right on schedule. Fingers crossed she arrives in Baltimore with enough time for you to see your GTS before you depart.

Yeah, it’ll be close. Hopefully I can make it work.
Are you having any ppf, ceramic coating, or window tint applied? Hopefully, can all be taken care of while you are away. That way you can fully enjoy immediately upon your return.
I've scheduled mine in starting on June 20th. It's really going to be difficult not being able to drive the car for a week or two so soon after taking delivery.

Wahoo! Super happy for you, and what a gorgeous car!! Looking forward to hearing all about it. Did I do Shark Blue bezels for you? I'd be really curious how well the match the color.
@Tom yes you did a full set in Shark Blue for me, plus you sent me the plate brackets, so they won't drill my rear bumper. Which they used and now my rear bumper is still untouched.
I'll post pictures with the chrono, tach and pinwheel set soon.

Nice touch - picking up Porsche wearing BMW "M" tee shirt
Got to represent my e92 M3 that I still own. And the Sale guy is a good friend of mine, he laughed his butt off. The General Manager is like, well we have to change and give you a better shirt.
Eric -- I've been looking at your pictures here and on FB and am curious if the Shark Blue has a slight matte or eggshell quality to its finish, or am I seeing things (or maybe a camera effect)? It's drop dead gorgeous!

I'll probably do what I did with my prior 992 and the Taycan and have a partial PPF (Full front, Doors, Side Skirts, Partial Rear fender) and then ceramic coat it.
With the Taycan I had it done locally once I got the car. The dealer had to pay for a local paint correction due to the scratches in the clear coat from the delivery driver sliding past the rear fender repeatedly. He also climbed in with his dirty boots through the window of the car on to the unprotected chalk leather seats. Thankfully the marks came off.
Not sure what to do with the GTS. I no longer trust the delivery company to not mess up the bucket seats getting in and out of the car. I can drive it back from Chicago to Charleston but that means having the PPF and ceramic coating done in Chicago (hard to go back for any corrections) and also putting miles on the car (it does need to be run in though before I bring it to the track though).
Maybe I just need a better transportation company. This was the one the dealer uses regularly.
Looks like we're having a slight delay with the Siem Aristotle getting to Halifax. Seems to be anchored off the coast at the moment waiting to go into port.

What the ??
For the drive home, what I did was buy several rolls of Track Armour on Amazon. With Crazy Eddie's help, we had the whole front wrapped in under an hour, along with the high impact areas by wheel arches etc. We rushed a bit, so didn't look like a true PPF, but I have to say from 10 feet away you can barely tell it was there, and it offers every bit as much protection as ppf -- even more so where you double it up. Pulled off with no problems when I got home, no residue, no fighting it, etc.
Here is a picture of my 991 when I drove it home from the dealer, trying to preserve it for PPF. It 'worked' but inspired me to find something else, which is how I found Track Wrap, Track Armour and that whole type of temporary wrap. On the white 992, if you zoom in, you can see that the Track Armour is actually still on that car in the picture....
