Red Bull is a key piece of the pie, but staying on their top team is no piece of cake. Lawson , on any other Team would likely be given more time, but Red Bull wants instant drives with wiiiings and is not willing to have much patience.

Tough situation as the car is set up for Max and even years back Perez mentioned, somewhat discreetly I thought, that the car was not set up completely to his desire.

Time will tell, but I have to agree with 996C438 that things could be going to a musical chair design.

I found this interesting...

FOM, appears to have left out a bit of interchange between Hamilton and his race engineer during the race last weekend.

I have to agree with how it sounded when I was watching the race.
Hamilton was being selfish.

Excerpt from a Sky Sports article;
"Hamilton originally suggested the cars swap places during lap 18. He told race engineer Riccardo Adami: “I think I’m going to let Charles go, because I’m struggling.” However this message was not played on the world television feed.

The first radio message indicating Ferrari were considering a change of order to appear on the world feed was played on lap 20. This was a clip of a message from the previous lap, in which Adami said “we are swapping cars turn 14,” and Hamilton replied: “When he’s closer, yeah.”

That last part is what I heard, ASSuMEing LH really didn't want Leclerc to pass.

Cheers

Not really much of a surprise since there were some who felt Yuki deserved the move up after last year and Liam might benefit from an another year of seasoning. Who knows, and Red Bull might as well make the move early since they have a dual team setup. I was looking for strong showings from Liam, but his struggles were apparent and this type of move happens often in Racing of all sorts ( Nascar is a strong example ). The demotion may fire Liam back up and he may even find the car more to his liking. Let's hope Yuki figures out the " Max V " setup quickly as I think there are those they think he earned the ride even earlier.

There have been plenty of drivers who just took longer to acclimate and I have this feeling Liam will either make big strides, though the pressure from the Bully Boys is likely the highest of all of F1!!

tough business to be in. His comments after China sounded like he lost confidence and was lost. Not a good place to be.

The german publication Bild is reporting Checo Perez has signed a contract with Cadillac F1 . Supposedly it will be announced on Saturday when Cadillac unveils their livery for 2026 .

Will be interesting to see if it's true . I think he would be a valuable driver for a new team . Plus he brings 30 million $$$ of sponsorship to the team . A potential win win for all .
