I'm just getting through this thread for the first time so I'm guessing you've already revealed what this contraption is. It's a winder for transferring 3D printing filament from one spool to another. I printed one myself.Tom wrote: Sun May 28, 2023 7:40 pm Here's my latest wall art. It's a 3D printed contraption I made for a specific/functional purpose, but it started looking so Fisher-Price-Steampunk that I decided to store it on the wall as art. Bonus points for figuring out what it does....

Does that mean you are a Bambu Lab guy? Love those printers!Mr. Big wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 3:36 pmI'm just getting through this tread for the first time so I'm guessing you've already revealed what this contraption is. Me too. I literally gave away my old Taz 6 after a few weeks with the X1C. For resin, the Form 3 is the same way -- just works right every time.Mr. Big wrote: Fri Nov 10, 2023 3:53 pm Yep, I went through a bunch of other printers before getting the X1 Carbon. It's the Apple of 3D printers - it just works every time.

Hey Andrew, alavigne wrote: Tue Nov 07, 2023 7:16 pm That is a pretty amazing setup. I have a [more modest] garage that is somewhat spacious and in need of a good automotive enthusiast going-over. I'll take inspiration from your photos!
We added the garage/carport combo in 1998 and it's been an asset and a pleasure ever since. Even though it's a busy space, everything actually has its place and I work at keeping it in order and clean.
I know how organized you are and how well you plan for things, so at some point a project like this will suit you just fine! There are many excellent examples of what others have done in this thread and plenty of us to answer questions or offer should-have would-have thoughts.( Hindsight is always helpful...
