I'm just getting through this thread for the first time so I'm guessing you've already revealed what this contraption is. It's a winder for transferring 3D printing filament from one spool to another. I printed one myself.

Does that mean you are a Bambu Lab guy? Love those printers!

Yep, I went through a bunch of other printers before getting the X1 Carbon. It's the Apple of 3D printers - it just works every time.

Me too. I literally gave away my old Taz 6 after a few weeks with the X1C. For resin, the Form 3 is the same way -- just works right every time.

Hey Andrew,

We added the garage/carport combo in 1998 and it's been an asset and a pleasure ever since. Even though it's a busy space, everything actually has its place and I work at keeping it in order and clean.

I know how organized you are and how well you plan for things, so at some point a project like this will suit you just fine! There are many excellent examples of what others have done in this thread and plenty of us to answer questions or offer should-have would-have thoughts.( Hindsight is always helpful... )

Cool picture. Looks like an AI eye chart or optical illusion. Can't wait to see it come together.... !
