I have this little "STOP" icon in the hexagonal shape of a regular stop sign, and it hangs down to let my wife know where to stop when it hits the windshield. Of course, getting her to do this is another thing alltogether! I've told her to drive until it just touches the windshield right in front of her eyes, but rarely does she hit the correct spot. So...I've given up fighting it.

After wanting a lift for 30+ years, I finally pulled the trigger. Since I work on my own cars and I'm not doing the 11+ car thing anymore, I'm doing an in ground Atlas FM9SL. One of my McLaren buddies has one and it's great. When I decided to get this my wife jumped in and said, "We should redo the floors, cabinets and walls". All I wanted was a lift...but I bet it's going to be pretty cool. Here's the project... (We pour cement tomorrow)

Nice! Thanks for posting the photos showing the project in its early stages. It's always cool to see how things eventually turn out, so looking forward to more updates. And yes, if no corner cutting is required, might as well go the Full Monty on the space while you can. I'm sure you'll be glad down the road.

Was not familiar with the in-ground/under slab scissor lift so I looked it up. That's pretty cool and 9000 ibs capacity too. Different products designed for different applications and needs.

Have fun with the project!
Tim

Welcome aboard @Rascasse! Love to see a good garage build-out! Check out baldhead cabinets if you are doing custom built-ins. They did mine and are great to work with -- they can make the space really special. :)

Please post pics of small refrigerators that people are putting in the garage. I want to keep it low profile and make it “look like it belongs”. Just something to cool water bottles and drinks, not deer meat from the latest hunt.

It's moving right along. Waiting for concrete to cure. Synergy Equipment is doing a great job. Painters have the walls prepped.

Lift installed! A few loose ends need tying together. Paint is almost there. Then the floors.

Rocky is very proud of the supervisory role he played.
