Thanks so much for your support. I worry I came across as shaming people into posting, etc. That wasn't my intent at all if it seemed even 1% that way.sliksunny wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 9:21 pm New to the Porsche world with first 911/ p car and this is the first forum I joined. I’ll definitely be active going forward. Went on vacation as soon as I created this log in. Will add avatar and become more active as time goes. Thanks

@APRisti -- yours is ready -- please PM to make arrangements.
@Robert986 -- yours is ready -- please PM to make arrangements.
@VA_CT -- yours is ready -- let's find a time/place; I owe you a PM....
@Mike992 --yours has been ready for a while -- last call.![]()
@Michaelx, @Nine finger Porsche, @ggsf, and @sliksunny: you each requested a full set of covers. I'm offering the Sports Chrono bezels for free as a calling card for the site. The tach and mode dial covers are much more time consuming (with lower success yield) so in fairness to those waiting, I am limiting full sets to active carpokes members (per post #298 in this thread). I'll be thrilled to make you each a full set, but I'd want to see you on the site, posting, setting up avatars, telling friends, etc. in order to offer up a full free set. This is a community-building perk, and nothing would make me happier than to see you become part of the community with a full set of bezels.![]()

Tom, Can we move forward with a Carbon Fiber Sports Chrono BezelTom wrote: Wed Jan 26, 2022 2:44 pmGulf blue might look too UCLA? If you went with a color, yellow is probably the way to go. But looking at that interior, I can't help but think carbon fiber might look even better.p4bombers wrote: Wed Jan 26, 2022 2:21 pm Prior to committing. Has anyone with a yellow chrono (or any other non std color) done a custom painted bezel? Any pictures to post?They sell that carbon fiber vinyl wrap stuff....

It's on my list, but if you wanted to give it a try sooner, I'm happy to send you a raw bezel to see if you can cover it in faux carbon fiber wrap or tape? If interested, send me a PM with your address, etc.p4bombers wrote: Thu Mar 10, 2022 10:32 amTom, Can we move forward with a Carbon Fiber Sports Chrono BezelTom wrote: Wed Jan 26, 2022 2:44 pmGulf blue might look too UCLA? You can go for sire that I will reply as soon as they‘re ready!Tom wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 1:03 pmThanks and I hope is doesn't sound like I'm asking anyone to jump through hoops. There have been some who post once asking for a full set and then don't even reply when it's ready, so I'm mostly just trying to ensure the time I spend on these is well-spent in general, and well-spent in terms of building the community.Michaelx wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:33 pmUnderstood - so I‘ll try to support as mich as I can.Tom wrote: Wed Mar 09, 2022 12:07 pm
That's great. Thank you so much. And thanks for the offer to pay, much appreciated, but it's really not about the money for me, and I fear I could never keep up if I offered them to the public at a reasonable price! For the short-term anyway, I like the idea of making them special perks for folks who are embracing Carpokes and helping it grow.![]()

Btw -just today in the German news: due to the war in the Ukraine, Taycan and Macan are put on production hold as main electrical parts which are produced in the Ukraine are not available at the moment.
In this statement they also mentioned that the production of the 911 is NOT affected.
Thought this could be a useful imformation.
Tom, thanks for doing this. I just joined from your post over in the Taycan facebook group. Happy to be here and contribute.
Do you think its possible to do one in Pantone PMS 159, CMYK 0,65,100,9 or RGB 191,87,0 (#bf5700)? Those are the exact color codes for the version of orange I'm looking for.
Willing to consider any passed on costs to make it happen!

I can try. What is it? Does it have a Porsche or other mfg paint code? Absent that, I'd need to take it to the paint shop and pic a color from their thousands of color samples. But to do that, I'd need something in the exact color you're looking for...mrbeaubo wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 8:33 am Tom, thanks for doing this. It's the University of Texas' burnt orange color scheme. Branding guidelines here:Tom wrote: Sat Mar 12, 2022 9:17 amI can try. What is it? Does it have a Porsche or other mfg paint code? I can try to find a paint code, do you know what brand paint you'd be using?
