Guys, late to your thread but not late catching the excitement you're generating and experiencing. l watched your videos, looked at both of your configs (nicely done), etc., and I think you're going to have a fantastic and fun Euro delivery experience (again), this time in two beautiful Porsches.
You'll love your Cayman GTS wonder cars - of that, there is no doubt. I'm amazed and thankful every time I get into my GT4 - what a treat to drive. Pure joy that always brings satisfaction and a smile, even in this day of excessive traffic, bad roads, and even worse drivers. The sounds and visceral feedback from the car are pure joy. Two years and 10k miles and I have yet to use the radio. Caymans are fantastic on track too - that's where mine spends many of its miles and it's always a treat. You'll have ear-to-ear grins on track, guaranteed. The 4.0 is willing, extraordinarily capable, and fun. And it loves the car it lives in!
Oh yeah, the Carmine Red. It's gorgeous. I have a Carmine Red TTS and the color is beautiful.

Thanks - yeah, suffice it to say, we can't wait for the summer to arrive and the trip over to Europe - and then back here afterwards for the 'chronicles to continue!

That's a great pitch video! I would think that would attract the attention of someone from Porsche. The fact that the cars will be in Guards Red you couldn't of selected a better color for a Cayman.I been following this thread I look forward to seeing this progress.

They changed colors later to Carmine Red...like my car.

(It is a gorgeous red, less orange than Guards.)

Thanks, yes, we changed the colors for both to Carmine Red. But you raise a good point,
@Stigs cousin ... I should create a revised version of that pitch video with a couple of updated details (e.g. the color, the fact that we now have allocations, etc). I think if someone from Porsche was to stumble upon it, there would likely be a better chance for interaction if they know we're much closer to actual delivery (rather just a couple of guys with order demands).

Hey all... a couple of updates to share regarding The GTS Chronicles: One is that for both
@lukesward and I, Track Your Dream now shows a European Delivery pickup date in July (the same day for both of us, so that seems to confirm we're properly paired up for a simultaneously delivery). Very exciting.
Separate from that, Luke and I have done a refresh of our "Pitch" video to Porsche - complete with little tweaks that reflect the current state of affairs of both our builds and their statuses - as well as a little more polish and editing here and there. Check it out if you haven't already seen it (or even if you have)...
You can either reach the video by navigating to
https://gtschronicles.com and scrolling down a half page or so, or directly via the following link:

Definitely like your refreshed video pitch. Based on the many shots in the promo showing production prep and filming (ok, recording/shooting video), I'd guess there is already a lot of footage (with the bulk not yet shot!) to edit down to an ideal story-telling length once your current journey wraps.
Keep having fun!

Thanks
@blueline, yep we are gonna have a TON of footage, photos, audio, etc to edit down when the time comes. I'm guessing we will have a full-on Director's Cut version for the die hard fans too

You are right, we do have lots of material in the "can" already, thanks to all the pre-work we have been doing - all part of the learning curve - so more of that will make it into the final tale.
It would be a dream if Porsche would allow us to film inside the factory, but I think that's hardly likely. The shots we have in the pitch video are all canned Porsche footage from some of their video clips on the internet. Having real footage, of OUR GTSs being made, now THAT would be special! We ARE all lucky these days that they do give us some photos form inside the walls of our cars being made, through the TYD app - we will be looking forward to getting those shots and incorporating them into the story for sure.
Thanks for the interest...we will keep the story going!

@lukesward have you thought about contacting the folks at 000 magazine? They have an βinβ with Porsche and like to dig deep into all things Porsche. I would think your story alone could result in an article in an upcoming 000 issue.
