Since I am using velcro to secure mine removing them is easy since I just need to press down on one side, which raises the other side allowing me to pull it out. The velcro makes it flexible but in no way does it cause it to come out on its own - I have speed tested them (120+) and I bet one could not go fast enough to lose them!

The issue with resin is the potential for the part to shrink or expand during the post-processing. I’m pretty sure I could make it work l, but alas I don’t have a car to test fit.

Tom will send you the file and it has been perfected by a couple of us - the size is perfect on my car so if you make it the same size it should be perfect as well.

I tried that process but didn’t work as well as I anticipated. I used Velcro tabs versus cut pieces of Velcro. Maybe your approach provides more flex? I still feel having the small notch guarantees easy removal. The downside is needing a small tool to put in the notch to initiate removal.

Check out the pics of mine a few posts back...works perfectly with just the right amount of flex. I used the velcro from Walmart that comes in a package - high strength.

Bob,
Has anybody reproduced these for sale yet? I just read through this string and it looks like private parties with 3D printers only???
Thanks,
Jim

It appears you did not read this thread after all! Tom made some but as I said mine are warping so we are discussing an option such as metal - standby to this thread for updates.

Meant for sale and available now. So in short your answer is NO.
Sorry. Wow. A little cranky this morning are we?

Just messing with you, sorry if I came off as being rude. But this is something that I dreamed up a while back and with the help of others, mostly Tom since he is the lead, so we need to get a better option so it will take time, which is documented in this thread.
