If you have the bucket seats, they are probably the #1 thing to do to a car. Unless you're a collegiate gymnast, those outer bolsters are more vulnerable than a slug in a salt factory. Even without the bucket seats, he has lots of nice leather upgrades

Ed loaned me a sample, so I'll start looking around for something close. I'm not overly optimistic on finding a close match in an off-the-shelf spray can. It's more of a 'designer' color, but you never know. Even if we have to get it paint matched to spray, it would be nice to find a color sample that matches it. I'm not sure the paint-matching machine at the paint shop would work on a leather sample.

Thanks for obtaining the leather sample and beginning the hunt. Fingers are crossed for a viable off-the-shelf option, or, at worst, a custom color match if the paint shop can work w/ the leather.

Have a look at these. They are just printed not painted. The car interior is crayon. So the grey one looks good from an interior point of view.
The yellow one you can see from outside and ties with brake covers and stripes. It’s just printed and not painted so Matt finish.

I was going to get a Venetian blue one but do t think I will bother.

These look awesome. I prefer the crayon/chalk one because it will go with interior. I have a black interior with chalk stitching and seatbelts. I’ve never seen a chalk bezel or bezel cover - love it!

I'd love one in yellow!

The yellow one was on an MSLA printer, and the grey was on an FDM. The Yellow one is a more robust structure and deeper color. But also, a tad harder to get on. The grey one is more transparent in color and also pliable and therefore easy to get on. They are good, aren't they!

They look fantastic! Is the FDM one is PLA or similar, but mindful of heat on the dash. PLA doesn't do well in a hot car. I've been doing mine in Formlabs Pro Grey, which has ABS-like strength and heat tolerances, but needs to be cured after printing. It seems to shrink ever-to-slightly when curing. If I use a standard resin that does not require curing, it's a tad looser. I never compared the model dimensions to my final prints -- just kept tweaking the model until the bezels fit snug without being tight or loose. I suspect every printer and material is going to be slightly different, so the models are best for people printing on their own (who can scale it up/down a smidge if needed) and probably not ideal for sending off to an expensive print house...
