Fingers tightly crossed for you! I have a good feeling about this Friday!

p.s., call them and remind them to keep the drill away from your bumper. They never remember on their own. :problem:

Thanks Tom. I've called and sent two email reminders. I plan to tell them again on Friday.

Car looks fantastic, congratulations. Shark Blue really is a nice color for these car. It's almost retro, but more vibrant. And those bezels! :) So I guess you got yours before I started doing the Mode Dial covers?? We'll definitely need to fix that. :) I'm on it.

Thanks Tom, it turned out better than I expected, happy camper here 😉
And yes I got the rings back in February, no mode button back then, oh well 👍

I was at the museum and took a tour of the 911/718 production line and I asked the guide if the factory was still having production delays and issues with parts and she said they were now running three shifts a day and are at maximum capacity and very few parts issues for the last several weeks.

As an aside- the production line is rather small and not many robots doing the assembly. Most of robots are delivering parts to the stations. They also said they only use about 50% of each hide for the interiors and they only buy hides from bulls because the hides tend to be more uniform in color and thicker. We saw a GT4-RS and a number of GT3’s and cars were painted all kinds of different colors.

Give us good news Hawk, did the car arrive at your dealer on Friday? When you’re taking possession? 🙏

Unfortunately no. The last info Porsche has is that my car was put back into PDI (second time) on Monday 06/13 for the Gateway Control Unit reprogramming. Now it gets interesting - The entire Porsche activity tracking system went down sometime after it updated last Wednesday 06/15 and no one, not even dealers or Porsche worldwide, has received an update since then. The system had still not been updated last I spoke to PCNA and my SA this past Saturday. Neither my dealer through their Porsche Sales & Vehicle Management System or Porsche know where my car is currently. My dealer has also not been invoiced for the car but, this could just be because the system has not been updated. No one really knows. PCNA has initiated a Case to attempt to get the status of the car directly from JAX. They hoped to get back to me by today, Monday, or tomorrow. My dealer is awaiting an email from the transportation company.

The system still appears to be down this morning as my TYD, also fed from the same activity system, has not updated. It's very hard to believe that Porsche has not been able to restore their activity tracking system after 5 days (as of today). Have to wonder if something more nefarious is going on.

I'll let you know.

My God, that’s is absolute sickening that they can’t even track the whereabouts of the vehicle is, I have no words to say except you’re a really patient man☹️
Hand tight there buddy, hopefully today or tomorrow you will get better news 🙏
