I start with a small cutting wheel, and do the rest with a air powered saw.

Nothing like doing a proper lift installation.

I take it that car has the engine in the rear or mid. And if so the C of G is further back in which case I would move the vehicle further forward on the lifting ramps.

Good observation....when the C8 Corvette came out, I saw at least one story of a dealer that didn't think about the weight distribution/CG change, used the standard Vette setting on a swing arm lift, and once in the air, CG took over and the car fell rearward, nose up off the lift.

Weight and Balance comes from my flying and instructing days.

When I installed my MaxJax lift, for the fun of it, I did a W&B on my 993 picking a datum point (the rear lift pad of my vehicle) and then produced a chart on Excel. In a standard 993 the C of G is 13.38" ahead of my datum point. I have two C of G permanent lines on the garage floor for engine-in and engine-out. Why have any fore and aft moments? Inward moment will always exist.

Awesome garage! So clean! But, of course, now we need to see what's under each of those car covers. :)
