Love cars and have been driving a manual since 1986—except for a 2.5 year period when I had a Genesis G 70 (nice car but not a Porsche).
My first P Car was a 1992 black, 6 speed 968. Then I purchased a 2002 996 Targa. The 996 was faster, newer, etc., but I really loved the balance and handling of the 968. I had these two P Cars when my boys were young and could fit in the back seats. When they got too big, I had to give up the two cars (I regretted selling the 968 for years) and I jumped into a more family friendly BMW 540i, a 6 speed V8 marvel.
After several years, several cars and my boys becoming men—in May of this year, I purchased a 2007 Cayman S with a Tubi exhaust system. The best car I’ve owned or driven. Mid engine magic…love it!
So happy to be back in a P Car

Welcome to Carpokes! Long-time 944 fan here, so understand why you regret selling the 968. The Cayman S is kind of the spiritual successor in a lot of ways....

Welcome to Carpkes! & Happy New Years Eve!I understand the attraction to the 968.I bought an 1989 944s2 new and kept it 30 years! It was my first and only Pcar.It was sold in 2019 for a 981 GT-4 which is an amazing machine.Welcome aboard! Here's a couple photo's.One of the s2 being sold to the new owner. The taller guy and the new addition.I should be good for the next 30 years at which I may not be able to get in & out of the light weight bucket seats.
