Thanks Nick. Appreciate it. As each day passes I'm getting closer to just selling it as is.

I somehow missed this -- such a bummer, so sorry! Give yourself a little time before deciding. I think we all very selfishly want to see you and that car win some records, but of course that's easy for us to say...

As much as I hate to say this have you thought about looking outside porsche for an engine option with more off the shelf support?

Thanks Tom. Just like the dyno crosses at 5252rpm I'm crossing between wanting to keep it and finish vs wanting it out of my life and put a few dollars (however bitter) back in my bank account. :wtf:

I have indeed thought of other power units. If I were to be unfaithful I would consider the i5 option. But having spent sooooooooooo much $$$$ on these #$%^&^%$#%^&*ing Porsche i4 motors it kills me not to finish. Plus there would be quite a few more dollars required to convert. The carrot that dangles in my brain says "Well you only need a crank and some rods..." but I've only needed 'X' in the past as well. I reason that if we'd only just had a mechanical gauge we could have adjusted the dry sump pump and increased the pressure sufficiently. This should never have happened and therefore I think "maybe, just maybe....one more time". I also have a few non car related life things going on that require some $$$ which is dragging on my resolve.
