It was pretty cool seeing a British sweep of the top three qualifying positions, but one had to realize it was unlikely that all three would be on the Podium at the finish. Great to see Hamilton and Norris scoring a Gold and Bronze, but what a rough day for the Pole Leader, Russell, to not be able to even finish the race. It was an entertaining event and hopefully it is a precursor the other teams are finally catching up to Red Bull.

Best race in years and lots of strategic decisions. Nice to see Hamilton win. I thought the most amazing decision was for Max to do the final stint on hard tires. It almost worked.
I have to wonder how Newey’s departure is affecting Red Bull.

Would be interesting to be a fly on the wall at Red Bull's top office with all the ongoing intrigue and melodrama!

Red Bull is the poster child for intrigue and melodrama....
But, it is good to start seeing some leveling in the racing.

Like Stormy, better balance always makes a better show, and we ( spectators ) always prefer it to be tight at the top, but I have to commend the efforts by others as there has been plenty of mid pack excitement this year. In fact the Teams that get into the top 10 show competition is tightening these past few years ( except with Max ) , but I am hoping the tiny chink in the armor from the Austrian Energy Drink Team means they are running a bit lower on caffeine in 24?
Like RDMcG I wonder how the further Adventures of Adrian will play out going forward and yet I tend to believe his genius and pride would allow him to slack any this year.

It was! There was a bit more of that this past weekend from another corner. (See below!)

It was a brilliant qualifying and a very good race .
What has happened to Perez? Amazing falloff in performance.
