JD, here are my two cars. I expect to have them on the road by the beginning of April. All I do now is look at them daily to make sure they are still there.
In the meantime, we run around in a 2011 Audi Q5 which is perfect for winter driving. The downside is that is stays outside and has to be cleaned off every time it snows.
I sure wish I had a barn like yours.

I think you should get some proper car covers, that tarp will scratch the hell out of the paint

Hello, all

My name is Greg and this is my first post as a new member

Living back in SoCal after spending nearly 13 years living back on the east coast.

Aerospace & Defense Executive (once retired -- but still back at it). My wife and I are empty nesters.

Came across by first Porsche in 2015 (2010 C4S manual) after seeing a random pop-up ad on Ebay (believe it or not). Once I contacted the seller and flew to TX to inspect/drive (never did that before) I was completely hooked! Along the way, I then picked up a 2017 Macan Turbo (used) and was swapping back and forth between the two as my daily driver.

However, always dreamed of one day owning a 911 Turbo. So fast forward a few years (while looking at 911 Turbos that were for sale) I decided to pick up the pace and spent the next few months dropping hints to my wife about how a 911 Turbo (later to become a TTS) made perfect sense...and she finally agreed (once we discussed how the Macan could become her daily driver -- and we would sell her 2020 BMW X1). As they say, win-win!

Hope to continue to learn and share more experiences among the members.

@Greg2010

I'll second that "welcome aboard". Sounds like you've got the bug alright. Our Porsche's are just great cars - all of them!

Post pics too!

Thank you all for the warm welcome!

We settled in Palos Verdes (located about 11 miles south of LAX -- I think). :P

Here are some recent pics. I seemed to have omitted that part of "the deal" was selling my beloved C4S before moving forward (missing it though).

I picked up the 991.2 TTS in Carlsbad CA (December 2022) and have made a few changes (tires/wheels).

Thanks again...and looking forward to learning from members and sharing experiences.

Best,
Greg

Welcome to Carpokes Greg! I had a 2018 Turbo S and absolutely loved it. They are amazing cars in so many ways. I think we always miss the cars we no longer have --except the Maverick I drove in High School I guess.... :shifty:

Cheers!
