Yesterday, I completed my first brake fluid flush (minus ABS) in 30+ years. The dealer and an Inde completed the first three flushes, but thought I should do this one myself. After all, replacing the front calipers a few months ago turnout out to be a piece of cake....thanks to YouTube.
The entire process took 3.5 hours, but most of that time was me just putzing around double and triple checking everything. Pretty sure I'll have that down to ~2 hours next time. The Schwaben power bleeder made the process extremely simple...even for klutzes like me. No runs, drips, or errors and overall an enjoyable process.
Also swapped in the track wheelset to complete preparation for the upcoming Austin Schnell Fest weekend at COTA on Feb 24-25.

Installed H&R VTF sport springs. They are height adjustable in the front only and appear to be dual rate, meaning a portion of the coils are closely wound and are fully compressed when the vehicle weight is on its wheels. Have still not yet given them a full test but so far the ride is not harsh at all. Played with the front height a bit after this picture was taken.

Massive improvement in the look from pic 1 to pic 2 - it's balanced front to rear. Definitely was too high in the front before adjusting down but it sits perfectly now Jeremy!J-Dub wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 9:28 am Installed H&R VTF sport springs. Adding the Tarret camber plates increased my front ride height , I measured it to be 0.2”. I realize that is small but still it bugged me. The original fender clearance was already more than two finger gap. Long term I would like to use the linear rate swift springs like are often used on a GT4 but the kit for that is still being finalized and I don’t know how long till that is available. Plus that will cost way more than used H&R springs. There are track days 3 out of 4 weekends in March, so far I have signed up for one of them. Hope to have a better feeling about the springs after a couple track days.

I crossed the boundary and we are completely out of the "Punitive Porsche Break In Period!" Hammer time and so nice to be able to really exercise the Little Chalk Croc!
PS - a couple of other observations that have been surprising is the fact that she has gotten 26.4 miles per gallon with all my constant shifting up and down, varied speeds, city and highway driving and even idling for periods. Yesterday, on a 200+ mile drive home pedaling at 75mph and above, she returned 31.3! I did not buy the Porsche for economy, yet she seems to just sip fuel? Lastly, because so many friends told me to be checking the oil level constantly as usage is common, I checked religiously, but after 2237 miles the level has not budged off Max!
