Welcome aboard Safder! I suspect many of us regret selling at least one Porsche.... I wish I never sold my first, an '85 3.2 Carrera....

Welcome to carpokes Safder. I have only ever bought one Porsche. It is is 2004 996 coupe and I still have it. I added a 2012 Audi TTs last July. Not quite as much fun as the 911 but at least my wife can drive it (Auto Transmission).
But I do regret selling my first car: it was a 1956 Sunbeam Talbot Mk III. I think it was the only one in Montreal at the time, and I have only ever seen one similar to it here in Toronto in the early 80's.

Thanks Guys!
Yup Toronto started it all for me at Heimrath Porsche. If you recall that commercial in the mid 2000’s, I was the kid on his bike saying “see you in about 20 years” Lol still have the original brochure old man Heimrath gave me and the pin holed poster has been trimmed/laminated and framed. That’s hanging in my other son’s garage.
Anyways, as I get more familiar with these cars my confidence in self repair has grown tremendously. I’m amazed at how much basic service information was included in owners manual even dating back to the 60’s.
My SC is a bit of a project so hopefully I can post updates here on progress!
Have a great weekend everyone!!

Wow, that brings back good memories for me, Haimrath Porsche on Lawrence Ave. & Pharmacy, he was a crazy son of a bitch, I believe one of the first guys raced Porsche cars in Toronto, I used to do quite bit of work for him retrofitting radar detectors in his clients cars 😛

First Porsche: '73 914 2.0.
Was hooked on Porsche's when: As a little kid I had a green metallic Matchbox 930. Not exactly sure why but of all the cars out there Porsche really struck a chord with me. Still does. Learned the basics of driving a manual trans in a Mazda B2000 pickup but continued refining my skills days later in a factory Flachbau. Life can take some strange twists and turns.

Welcome to Carpokes Ix! First 930 I ever saw was a bright green back in 1976. In hindsight, I believe it was Shamrock (aka Ascot) green, similar to modern Viper green. We're a bit jaded by supercars everywhere these days, but when that 930 drove into the grocery store parking lot back in 1976, literally everyone stopped what they were doing to stare at it... The color and flares were really something to see back in the day....

Welcome to Carpokes! What color is your Austin Seven? I think most here would be interested in knowing a bit about it - cars are our thing! Post a pic or two if you can.

The Seven is dark blue and white. It is all original except for the paint scheme, rollcage, engine, transmission, LSD, seats, wheels, brakes, suspension, wiring harness, etc. Spent 14 years restoring it from a shell laying in a field near Sears Point.

Fantastic!

Gotta love your "all original except for..." comment. (Just a few minor things - a walk in the park.)

What you accomplished represents a lot of work and dedication to get it from where it must have been to where it is now. I'm always impressed by the many here who do those kinds of things and who do them so well. Great job and congrats!
