@Bluehighways
Thanks for the alignment chart, is it ‘luck’ that this is the most balanced, fine tuned alignment I’ve ever seen, or is it skill and perseverance to get them this accurate?

I like accuracy so wonder at what point have previous alignment guys thinks what they’ve got it too is ok.
I.e. is ‘within limits’ good enough?

Btw, I don’t track and my tyres seem to wear very evenly and no problem with feel over 80+ mph.

Thanks! I'll definitely pass your compliment on to the person who did it. Both of your compliments - perseverance and skill apply to Nick, along with many others - it's the way he approaches everything he does. I'm lucky!

Finally had my Fabspeed valvetronic exhaust installed last week after sitting on it for 10 months. You can really hear the turbo now. Sport mode is fun, no droning, normal mode is quiet. Overall, I love it.

Thanks for posting this!

Danial (JetFuelOnly) also installed the Fabspeed pipes and created a YouTube video with Eddie comparing the superior sound of Ed's 981 GT4 vs Danial's 718 GT4, also explaining the differences in the two OEM exhaust systems. Big sound improvement after the change over for Danial's 718.

I asked Danial about his OAP several days ago on another one of his threads as to how he liked the Fabspeeds (a lot) and whether he was experiencing any droning. Can see his answer here:

I've had the Fabspeed webpage open for a couple of weeks contemplating. I think it's time to pull the trigger.

They offer four versions - SS, Titanium, SS Wrapped and Resonated SS. Which one did you go with?

Ah, apologies I cannot comment to this. I have the 2.5 turbo.

I can attest to the craftsmanship and the end result of my choice though. I don’t have many miles on it yet but the initial experience has been great.

Good info on the quality nonetheless! Thank you.

I installed BMC air filters to my 4.0 and while I was there I added some dynamat below the rear carpet in the area right above the muffler. The hope is it will cut come of the boomieness and let me hear the intake noise more clearly.

Let us know how it turns out.

By the way, I think you're still running stock exhaust, correct? (Apologies if you've already mentioned this and I've forgotten, but I don't think you mentioned any changes of that sort.)

Took it to a track for some high speed lapping for the first time ever in my 60 years here on earth. Was fantastic! I had a track veteran with me on a couple of slow speed sighting laps showing me the lines and want to look out for, this was very helpful. My first few solo laps were a little tentative and I was waving a lot of people by to pass me. By my third session I was a lot more comfortable and now had cars waving for me to pass, although one was a 70’s era mini so I had a couple of horses over him.
I will definitely be doing it again. Now to look for a helmet ( not to keen on the rentals) and some thinner soled shoes.

Will do.
Yes I do have OAPs, I bought used heat coated and resonated SOUL performance pipes and installed them a few months back. With the valves forced open on the stock OAPs I found the drone not fun but you could upshift and avoid some of the worst of it on the highway. With the aftermarket OAPs the drone level was more intense and I switch back to factory valve control. I am hoping the dynamat will help with the boomieness. I was surprised how thick and dense the foam padding was under the carpets, I imagine that is designed to attenuate the volume of the noise. With the carpets removed you can easily slap the "floor pan" and get it to sound like a drum... well not now after the dynamat but will this translate to anything noticeable in the real world...
