Im a first time Porsche owner. And track junkie. Big fan of all things racing including F1, WRC, IMSA, moto gp. I’ve owned Japanese (Subarus and Mitsubishi) and American sports cars in the past. Looking forward to being a member of what appears to be a bunch of nice like minded individuals. Thanks to Tom for encouraging me to join when I reached out to him via email.
Welcome, I am also new here and sounds like the car you have is the one I have in order. I have until January 7 for final changes and am curious if you can share what options you went with?
Thanks. For me, I went with LWBS, keyless entry (a must in my opinion) PDK, and of course the color. Color, seat choice , and transmission are your big three in my opinion. If it’s going to be your daily driver, the lwbs are kind of a hassle, ingress egress for you and passenger. One regret I do have is gage face color. At the time, I felt they were not worth the $. Probably still aren’t, but they look so cool.
What did you have on your build already ?

I read what you have purchased incorrectly….I originally thought it was a 911 GTS which is what I have on order in the same color. Your GST 4.0 will be great fun.

Suburbs of Atlanta, GA

86 951 (lots of mods, and more to come)

01 996 C4 cab (stock, and is officially my wife's car, so will remain stock)

Seeking a 986 S, but will wait for the used car market to correct.

Other fun cars... 01 Audi allroad (converted to manual, with upgraded turbos)

Profession... I'm in fintech.

Currently the 951 is on jackstands. Pulled the motor on memorial day, and addressed a number of oil leaks, including the rear main seal. Did clutch and pressure plate and TO bearing at the time. Also did water pump and timing/balance shaft belts, and complete front end reseal.

Motor and transmission are back in, and I spent the past 2 days putting the steering rack back on and all the accessories (alternator, AC compressor, power steering pump.

Tomorrow is wiring (did I mention I also replaced the engine wiring harness?) and the intake manifold / fuel rail

Looking forward to exchanges on this site.
Happy New Year to you all.

Welcome aboard! We're only about 6 months old, so you're actually an early adopter still. :)

Nice list of car - although without pictures, I guess we'll just have to take your word for it. ;)

Was California Porsches on El Camino in Sunnyvale, CA back in the day?

California Porsches was and still is in Costa Mesa.
Ahh. So you want proof of cars. I'll post pics if I can figure out how to do it.

So I clicked on Add files and tried to move pics of garage to here and they would not highlight or drag. Too big or what?

Different dealer. I told my '85 911 to a dealer by that name (or something very close) back in the 90's, but they were in Northern California.

No size limits on pictures. To post pictures, click the Attachments tab, then Add Files, then find your picture(s) on your computer and select it (double click on desktops) and it will upload. Then you can just leave it and it will show up at the end of your post as an attachment, or you can click "place inline" next to the picture file after you add it, and the picture will appear in your post wherever your cursor was. For example, I used 'place inline' to put the red bezel right here:

But for this blue bezel, I just left it as an attachment without placing it inline, so it shows up at the end of this post....
