Wow, that was quick! The model is designed with holes for those screws, so figured stronger is always better. Especially on the CF version, the body of the tool should be strong enough to last forever basically. The real question is how many times you can use it without wearing out the socket drive port. That port will tend to round out after a while with softer plastic, especially if you torque it past 7 ft.lbs. I haven't played with the NylongX enough to say, but in the limited testing I did, the port seems to hold its form much much better with the NylonX. Looking forward to hearing how it does in the real world.

For newcomers who need one printed, I'd point them to the Bezel Policy and apply the same basic approach just to make sure I'm printing for people who are supporting the cause. That policy was written for my interior bezels for the newer Porsches, but the same concept would apply to these tools. You can find that here::

I would love to purchase this tool! I just purchased belts and realized I should properly tension the belt, then found out the tool is crazy expensive.
I’d download the file but don’t know anyone to print it. Would would be the going rate to pay someone for this?

Also wondering if anyone has had replacement parts for the early style sunroof printed? My follower tab broke and the flat cover where the cable rides is missing. Both were made from the whiteish plastic material, so I’m sure could easily be printed…

If you are able to wait a week or two, I'm sure I can print you one. Shipping to Canada isn't cheap though, and unfortunately this tool is just a bit too big to fit in the flat rate box. Might be worth asking around locally to see if there are any services or friends who can print it (or get a printer -- a reasonably good one can be had for $300 these days).

I have not done sunroof parts yet, primarily because mine hasn't broken Maybe post a picture of the part you need and I'll put it in the list of things to make in the future....

Not sure I follow your question? I've printed this several times, in various plastics, and believe it works like a champ. Would love to hear from anyone who printed their own and used it to tension their belts!
