71eh wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 12:31 pm It's time! I ordered a GT4rs PDK shifter conversion for my 718 from Suncoast a little while back. I had it sent to the mad scientist EdGuards to have the stitching changed to chalk to match my interior, with a little extra touch with the guards red embroidered "718" to match the guards red accents... I should have it installed in a week or 2.
Sneak Peak....

What did you do with your 718 this week?

That looks tremendous!
I have a similar plan. Have EdGuards stitch a boot with Racing Yellow as soon as I can find enough Graphite Blue leather for the boot. Your extra touch Red embroidery idea is fantastic.....maybe GTS or GTS 4.0 in place of 718.....must cogitate on this one.
GTS would look great... Racing yellow would look so good on graphite blue leather!.
I have that leather if you want to do that
Best regards

I am allowed to do own Tech, but PCA is getting strict Nationwide and the local Club wants folks to start doing Tech at a Shop or a Porsche Store. Since my car was at Porsche of Omaha they did it since it was on a lift. I have done all of mine for years, but I listed the instructions on here as Great Plains Region of the PCA wants folks doing the current PCA process -- this also entails getting it done around a month prior to an event. Sure it is an added issue, and folks with tons of experience are likely fine, but the purpose is to keep Insurance costs for the Club down as they have been accelerating Nationwide for all groups at Track events.
Hastings is a super fun track, especially for beginners since it has beaucoup run off compared to the average track. It is an Alan Wilson designed road course , so no big surprise. I am going to help Instruct as I am a track Instructor there along with being a PCA Instructor. I have raced there often when I was doing W2W , so I have around 10,000 miles on the MPH track.

Bill, what size Bridgestones for your Apex 19" SM-10s? For the MPSC2s I'm running 265/35ZR19 & 295/35ZR19 but my rear Apex wheels are 11" instead of 10.5". Was thinking of trying the RE71-RS at some point but there may not be a properly sized tire for 11".WillyDaP wrote: Wed Apr 10, 2024 2:47 pm Picked up my car from Porsche of Omaha, mods done and can't wait to get to the track in May. There is a three day PCA event in the middle of the month ( check out gprpca.org ) with both PCA races and DEs at Motorsports Park Hastings ( racemph.com ) . Great track which was repaved about a year and a half ago, and it is as smooth as a baby's buttuci ! Safe track with lots of runoff and if you are looking for a DE to go to , especially if you are a new driver , this could be a great choice. Keep in mind PCA wants a Tech done around a month ahead now, so pull up a Tech Sheet and get it done - most Porsche Shops do for free and others are reasonable.
The pictures are not the best as it is super sunny out and 74 today --------- false complaining, ha. Ready for the asphalt with new Bridgerock RE711RSs on anthracite Apex wheels.
edit: Nevermind. Unlike the 9" ft/10.5" rear sets of SM-10s (Apex recommended front tire 255/35-19, rear 285/35-19), Apex doesn't list any Bridgestones for the 9" ft/11" rear wheel sets, so the answer is apparently nada for the RE71 tires for me.

Tim,
What about a 305/30/19 rear and 265/35/19 front?
