I need to get back to this. The hold-up isn't financial per se, it's about getting time with my very accommodating machine shop guy to work on it between his big jobs, as well as my own time limitations. The prototype worked quite well though -- I just need to refine the software a bit, and further iterate parts to make them more production friendly. Honestly, the more people who show interest here, the more I know I need to get on it! Stay tuned!

Tom, I'm still recovering from the tensioner alarm connection saga on my 928. I have about 600 miles on the latest new belt now, so it's getting close to needing a check/retension.

I can send $$ and a prepaid Priority Mail label.

I suspect but can't guarantee that you'll be flooded with orders at the price point you suggested.

Maybe offer a collector $$ version in an exclusive finish, serial number and owner's name laser engraved.

I can understand it is a project a niche project at that. Such an ingenious design. I think it's cool you can even source a shop to do this. Bravo to you for undertaking this I wish you only success.

Count me in if I find a second 944 (my S2 just had professionally tensioned) I am searching for a transaxle car in fair to good condition as long as it is mechanically sound.
