Hello everyone,
Brian Geiger
Lakeland Florida
An incredible friend I met MTB biking got me into Porsches. He let me drive his 991.1 GT3 in 2015. Launch control, 9000 rpm and a scream unlike anything I’ve ever encountered hooked me for life. I swear the wail of a flat engine touches your soul. I owe my friend Bob everything for sharing the Porsche experience.
Finally achieved my dream this past September and bought a Miami Blue 2021 GT4.
Already installed the bolster covers from Ed. Also added OAP pipes from Flat6 motor sports and soul valve controller.
Tom’s outstanding license plate holders are inbound.
Im excited to take my GT4 to Sebring and the Werks Reunion. Backroads only!!!
Really enjoyed the enthusiast posts and how to info on CarPokes.
Thank you all for such a wonderful forum.

Don Istook...just joined.
Owner of a Porsche “Refurbishing” shop in Fort Worth...specialty...rebuilding air-cooled engines.
Currently restoring. 73 914 2.0 that will be for sale...bringing back from the dead a 74 911...same with a 77 911, and a 67 912. Waiting...complete ground up on a 68 912, and a 72 911 Targa race car. Oh, a 944 and 924S also. We were building a 944 Spec race car, but it is on hold for a bit.
History...gosh. First was a 1971 914 in 1972, then new 73 and then 74 914 2.0’s. Next came a 72 911S (in 1974) with airport gears, 70 911S, 71 911S Targa (my first 911 engine rebuild), another 73 914 2.0 I modified, then stroked my 2.2S 911S engine into a 2.4 in 1975. Whew!....too many!
My past stable HAS also included countless 944’s and 951’s, 68 912, 64 356C, 76 911 Turbo, a real 73 Carrera RS, 81 924 Carrera GTS Club Sport 2 914/6’s (yes...real) ..924 SSA race car, 944 SSGT race car, 924 ITB race car, three DP 911 race cars, 944 Firestone Firehawk race car (I was one of the race teams in the inaugural Firestone series, thanks to Al Holbert), 944 NASA race car, 2007 911 GT3, a few 928’s, and a Porsche MacanS.....Uh...could be leaving out a few.
So, I raced 911’s and 944’s for years both in amateur racing and professionally.I also raced for VW (GTI), for Toyota (Supra Turbo), and a lot for Audi (S4’s, TT, TT RS, and RS 3 LMS). IMSA, Pirelli World Challenge, SRO, Motorola Cup, Koni Challenge, Hoosier Challenge, SCCA, NASA, and PCA Club Racing are some of the sanctioning bodies.
I am ALWAYS willing to share my experience with fellow Porsche enthusiasts and help in their projects.
I enjoy building engines and transmissions and special projects. Oh....also a full ground up restoration of a 1965 Sunbeam Tiger is in the works. I am in Fort Worth

Belated welcome to all!
Brian -- your car is drop dead gorgeous. Miami blue seriously works on that car.
Bert -- welcome aboard, and glad you are making progress on your cluster gauge issue!
Don -- you had me at "Don Istook"
Simply thrilled to have you here.
Hope you all enjoy the place -- a kinder, gentler place to talk about Porsches -- owned and operated by actual car guys, with no big corporate agenda anywhere in sight. It's about the cars and those who love 'em, that's it. Welcome! --Tom
