Most people leave the plastic screen protector on (the one with the little yellow tab), and that works quite well. Unfortunately, mine looked kinda rough when I took delivery, and I am not a huge fan of the matte screen on the 718. I would rather have a high gloss screen, to match the high gloss carbon trim.

I bought a high gloss screen protector. As small of a mod it is, I love the effect :)

Smart move!

Installed one on our '17 BS and definitely preferred it to the matte screen. Very inexpensive mod and so easy to clean....thus, I had one in "stock" prior to our BGTS delivery.

I would say your four wheeled mistress enjoys how her mellow yellow fellow dresses her up!

I installed Tom's rear license plate mounts, which are the best! And extra thanks to Tom for pulling a rabbit out of a hat, and with it a special white set. Someday, my car will auction for $600K because of these rare matching mounts!

Anybody wondering if the adhesive is strong enough, I had to buy this new set because I tried and failed to pull my first set off of my totaled Cayman before they hauled it away.

Anyway, I love 'em, and can't wait to receive my proper plate. Thanks again, Tom!

Memorial Day weekend begins with four new pistons. Grasshopper came home from #PorscheAustin and #AustinFilmSolutions. First time daughter has seen the Cayman; she wants one <g>. Ross and Eli did the unveiling and first orientation. Tomorrow, Grasshopper takes Jacquela and Steven out for 200 miles of twisty roads. Because gotta begin to break it in!

Installed Tom's mode dial ring as we took delivery of Cayman at #PorscheAustin. If this works, it's the first time I'm posting a video online, ever. Hope it works.

You did the link OK. It would work if you made the video public. Right now it is private, by invitation only.

Nothing this week so far but last week I did a test and swapped out the DSC controller with the stock PASM controller for a bit. I bought the DSC controller before the X431, I wanted to be sure the communication fault the car reports since it can't read the factory controller would go away, it did. Secondly I wanted to feel out how the car rode on the H&R springs with the stock controller. Was it noticeably better with the DSC, it was. DSC is back in, that did not take long!

So it was made specifically for this screen. It was actually from Amazon. Surprised how good quality it is. $13bucks!

@71eh Thank you! I was just getting to this point in looking this up and you saved me some time in looking for the screen protector. I have these on all my cars and getting to put one on the Cayman as I have been distracted too much driving it since I got it last month! Thanks again!
