ddaniel wrote: Sun Apr 02, 2023 6:18 am Hello Everyone, Obviously new to this site and a relatively new member of the Porsche community. Bought my '09 Cayman S about 1.5 years ago. I formerly participated in a low level racing series and wanted a car to do HPDE in (4-5 a year). I've already done several track mods (K-Sport coilovers, Tarett sway bars, Top Gear exhaust, IPD plenum with 82 TB, roll bar, Corbeau seats, OZ wheels). The car has been fantastic, it's nice to have a modern sports car. I've been hung up on classic British cars since my college years and still have a '73 Triumph TR-6 (built) and a restomod 1960 Austin Healey 3000 (302 Ford, 5 speed, LSD, body mods, custom interior). Looking forward to hitting a couple of new tracks this year in the Cayman.
Welcome to Carpokes Daniel! Nice going on the mods - the Cayman's are fun to track.

As for DE's there's a consolidated listing (200 or so events for 2023) in the Carpokes Racing forum that covers my part of the U.S., mainly the South, South East and a bit of the Mid-Atlantic and Midwest.

Welcome to Carpokes - great user name!

I'll echo audi4t's comments about the beautiful Colorado mountain passes. Been on them many times in years long past, unfortunately not in a Porsche and not as a time out just for the joy of driving. (Always been the point A to point B kind of thing.) I'll have to settle for mental transpositions of what it might be like in a Porsche sports car.

Welcome aboard Daniel! I think most Porsche fans just love cars in general. I've always love the lines of the TR-6. On pure styling along, I've always thought it could hold its own against literally any classic convertible. :) We have the OK Corral (our off-topic section, without the "off-topic" connotations) -- would love to see the other cars as well. :)

(And p.s., to blueline, I guess I had never really focused on those event lists you pulled together. That's an amazing resource --thank you -- we need to draw more attention to it!)

Thanks for joining Carpokes. We’d love to see some photos of your car. I hope you’ll like it here! There is a lot of 944 content.
Thanks,
Larry

I'm a hardcore Porsche memorabilia collector. Go to YouTube "Porsche Obsession 2016 Adam Hollander" to see a video of my collection. Adam is my son. He made the video. Although I sold the collection a while ago I'm still collecting and selling Porsche stuff. I also own a 2018 911Carrera GTS cabriolet with PDK. Anyone with Porsche stuff that they want to get rid of please let me know.I live in Hollywood, FL.
