I live in Louisville, Ky and have been a member of the KY PCA for about 5 years. I have always LOVED Porsche vehicles but only got my first P car in 2014 (2014 Boxster S). Since then, I’ve come to understand the expression “The perfect number of Porsche’s to own is always N+1). I have now accumulated a garage full as my capacity to work on them myself has increased. I now have four: 1988 924S, 1988 944, 2017 Macan S, and the original 2014 Boxster S

I am still holding the “+1” for a 1987-1989 930 Turbo but will wait til the prices come back below a new GT3RS - grin.

I race with the PCA SimRacing crew online and occasionally get out to the tracks at Putnam and Mid-Ohio tracks.

Welcome aboard Kris! Sounds like you've been bitten with the bug. (You're in good company here!) Love your collection of Porsches (need pictures!) -- I'm a long-time 944 fan/owner myself, and have a 992 for a more modern take on Porsche -- and am always mulling that +1 car. Currently keeping my eye on 718 and 928 cars, since they are so similar :wtf: Great to have you onboard!

Hey Kris! Welcome to Carpokes!! Glad you found the site.

I'm just down the road in Nashville and travel the short distance north to Bowling Green often for the excellent track there - NCM MSP. I think you'd love the track - it's a good course as is Mid-Ohio. I've been to Putnam Park too and had a great time but it's been 12 or more years ago. I keep saying I'm going back but just haven't made it. A really good group organizer,10/10th's, does a number of track days there.

I put a list together for track days/DE's that covers areas in the South and Southeast, plus many on the Mid-Atlantic coast and in the Mid-West. The topic and the lists are in the Carpokes Racing sub-forum here:

Check it out! Also, post some pics of your cars if you wish - Carpokes is a picture-friendly forum so no need to be shy!

Hi All,
Im here to come out of hiding and reading only, from Prague the heart of Europe, with my 1982 Guards Red 944.
I came here from Ford ST200, ST220, Sierra GT, Escort Cabrio, Citroen Saxo VTS as fun cars, and daily driving Skoda Octavia mk2, and VW Tiguan 5N2.

Thanks for coming out of hiding and welcome to Carpokes. My wife and I were in Prague several years ago - what a beautiful and enchanting city! Please feel free to post often. Do you have any interior car pictures?
Thanks,
Larry

I have many pictures of parts that need replacing :D
I might have "older" photos for my vintage car certification.

What a great picture from above! We didn't get the 944 until 1983 here in the US, so seeing a 1982 Euro-spec 944 is like spotting a unicorn here. Our cars had a lower power to weight ratio too, so I'm sure that car is a hoot to drive! Very cool!

Hi John, I second Larry's welcome to Carpokes. Glad you joined.

I'm assuming the Charlotte you're referring to is in NC. If so, I'm in the Nashville (TN) area, not terribly far away.
