After owning 914s from 74 to 84, I moved to an 84 911 Targa in 84 ( yep, purchased new). Still have her as she enters her 40th year.
She's all original, 44k miles and mostly serving concours duties these days!

Forty years of ownership since new - that's impressive! Very nice car too!

Welcome to Carpokes and thanks for finding us and joining up!

PS - Looks like the Lexington, KY Keeneland. Great setting for the Concours Award pic!

Just saw the ad in Panorama. Congrats on this new site! Have had 50 bikes & cars, about 20 brands on 3 continents from Isetta and Avanti II to Rolls. Home is now Traverse City, neighbor to McKeel. We now own 5 V8s and one electric bike. We love our 2010 Panamera S bought almost 2 years ago, our first Porsche. It’s a black/Luxor with nearly every option. Designed, built and finished to near automotive perfection. Now, if I could just figure out why the hood does not pop up, requiring gently lifting with a paint stick… Intermediate Hood Spring? After all, Spring has sprung UpNorth.

Love Traverse City. Tell Hagerty thanks! (He's certainly done a lot for car culture and car lovers.)

That's one heck of a collection of current cars you have - cannot imagine what the other 50 or so must have been like. Post pics if you wish - the Carpokes platform hosts photos which makes it easy.

Feel free to post and share pics and stories about vehicles other than Porsches too - pick an appropriate existing topic in the 'O.K. Corral' sub-forum which is wide open or create your own topic there and have at it.

Below are links to several topics in 'O.K. Corral' for starters that you might like. Please add to them if desired.

By the way, welcome to Carpokes!

Hi All!

I'm new to this forum. I've known about it for a while, since Ed told me about while we worked on headrest covers for Porsche folding bucket seats. But I figured it was time to join since I have a new car coming...

Hey Marin -- welcome aboard! I may be mistaken, but didn't we meet when you came to the Carpokes International Headquarter (i.e., my house/garage) one time when Ed was here?

No, I couldn't make it that day. Ed told me about it, but I had something else planned. We met probably a year earlier when I started working with Ed on these headrests.
