@Crazy Eddie do we know if the Track Nanny will work with a GT4 RS? @Tom wasn't sure when I chatted with him last time. ...we just need someone to try connecting it
Yes, Tom has asked me to be a guinea pig

I've been begging him to come over so we can take a peek. If it's like the 992 GT3, the track nanny won't work (at least without throwing codes). If it's like the GT4, it will work. I just don't yet know which system it has, and you could make logical arguments to find either in there.

You mean 992?

I'm... 89.5% sure it has the 718 valves, not the electronic 992 valves. .
Sad to hear I can't use my track nanny on my 992!

718 valves in general are like the 991, meaning the Track Nanny DOES work on all 718's EXCEPT the 718GT4RS. The Track Nanny does not work on the 992 or GT4RS. Still trying to decide if it's worth coming up with a solution, though I've heard somebody already did for the original stack-of-Arduino GPS controllers (presumably its creator, Marty).

oh no! weird! Sorry about that, I guess the 10.5% failure rate bore out to be true in my guess.
Interesting... There are apparently valve controllers on the market that work without codes on the 992, they go in at the valves, rather than at the controller, so it's possible that's an option.

I've made this 3-video playlist to help everyone understand all that the Track Nanny does and how to install it in a GT4:
Danial,
thanks for these videos. I also was driving with Diablo at Laguna Seca the same day you made the third video, May 16, 2022 (in my Sapphire Blue Metallic 2016 Cayman S, with my usual number 53 for that car). Due to a deer strike in early November of 2023 going down to Monterey at night for other reasons, the 981 ended up a constructive total (although the damage appeared to be minimal, the car was safe to drive and handled normally, and I drove with Diablo at Laguna Seca 11/19/23, the final estimate was over $40K!). Long story somewhat shorter, on the 23rd, I flew to Ontario and bought a CPO Gentian Blue 2023 718 Cayman GTS 4.0 for my replacement daily driver / track car. (Will run with number 04 I think - 4 is spoken for in GGR.) So now I've got to have a solution to the sport exhaust problem, and this looks like it. Hope to see you at the track some time - I'm signed up to drive with GGR at Thunderhill 2/19, GGR at Sonoma 6/30, and will sign up for Diablo's first DE April 5 at Thunderhill once registration opens up.

Regarding the 4RS, I don't think so - at least not yet. See the posts beginning at the top of this page.
