Love to get a red bezel cover for my 718. Is one available? Thanks
Have you read this thread? As of now, Tom has just finished perfecting replacement bezels for the 718, not covers. And I do not want to speak for Tom but painting them is easy at home with a rattle can, especially when there are countless "red" shades.

Welcome to Carpokes and thanks for joining! I'll post a little update on the clip-on version later tonight. We are working on that in parallel with the replica version. In fact, as Bob's picture above shows, the replica that installs in place of the factory bezel is done (but requires that you remove the factory bezel and replace it). The cover is proving a bit more challenging (to my surprise) but we are getting there! In the meantime, this color montage of the 992 clip-on bezel may keep you motivated.

Thanks for joining Carpokes and posting about the bezel cover. I’m sure @Tom will pitch in as he is working diligently on a cover for our 718 bezels. Unfortunately, the design of the bezel enclosure on the 718 isn’t as user friendly as the one on the 992. For the 992, the cover just slips over the bezel. You can see many beautiful examples on the 992 bezel cover thread.
I’m the OP regarding making different colored bezels for our dash sport’s chrono’s. Many of us are reluctant to remove and paint (or remove and replace) the actual bezel so Tom came up with the idea of the bezel cover! Tom has been sending me different 718 cover versions. It’s a bit tricky getting it right because the upper portion of the 718 dash bezel recedes into the enclosure - we are trying to get a cover that adheres to the bezel. Stay tuned to this thread or feel free to send me a pm and I’ll give you the up to the minute progress. Hopefully, we are getting close

BzzzBom summed it up nicely. Getting the cover to clip on the 718 bezel was relatively easy off the car, but getting it just right on the car itself is taking a bit more effort, especially through the mail without my own eyes on it. But, we're getting a little closer with each try. Fresh set of test rings fresh off the printer...

And once those are done it seems making a snap on solid cover will be easy, for those that want to totally cover it for night driving if they do not like the ones with a hood/eyebrow - nice work as usual!

Definitely following this one.
What 3D printers and settings work best for these? I have access to a couple so am happy to help test if you are willing to share the file?

As soon as I have good .stl models, I do plan to share. I posted the 992 bezel cover in the 3D print section. I print it with a Form 3 at 100microns, using their Pro Grey resin. The printer can go down to 25microns, but with such a simple shape, I don't see much difference, and certainly nothing that doesn't sand off easily.
I'm continue to work on getting the clip-on style to work on the 718, thanks to
@Larry C for being my remote eyes and ears. Sure would help to have a local car to model the cover with (south bay, CA) but we're getting there one try at a time....
In the meantime, I printed this hooded version for
@Bob Z which gets installed in lieu of the factory bezel. Bob wanted both sides straight, and I was worried it would look thick and weird, but I put a deep chamfer on the facing edge and have to say I think it 'works' visually.... This was a proof of concept print, so rougher than I normally print them, but I think by far it's the best looking hooded version we've tried....

Another work of art Tom! I do have to agree though - go back and look at first hooded versions you made, which were good but this one is great! FYI all: in order to block the SC reflection on the interior glass at night the top hood/eyebrow would need to be 2 1/2" long, which does not look good, or even close to OEM. It is due to the angle of the SC in the 718s. Therefore we thought it best to design one with an attractive hood that is Black - Tom nailed it!

Wow, that actually looks very nice! Really like the rounded bevel edge of the covering. Excellent!
