I agree with Tim, poor marketing move by Porsche because the rules for Europe are different than their main outside market ( the US ) . They could easily have built 718s for the US market for 3-5 more years , easily, yet with China their other big market I guess they decided to go with the European rules and the Chinese trends. Sad as there is still a strong market here and a 718 Hybrid would be welcomed warmly , but an Electric Boxster/Cayman is not currently practical in many parts of this expansive Country. Glad I have my 2024 Cayman GTS and I would have to wager ICE machines are going to be a cool buy for many years to come , though the prices will be " Hot!" All puns intended , ha!
