I have a 2022 Cayman GTS 4.0. It’s the best car I’ve ever owned. Please feel free to ask any questions! You can post, send me a PM or call me (I’ll give you my cell in a PM) Thanks for joining Carpokes.

Hi, a PCA member and owner of a 1987 911 Carerra convertible, black with factory whale tail. The previous owner had 1991 turbo rims swapped into the car and love it. Purchased with 55k miles. I now have 255k miles.

I had some engine work fine at 150k, then proceeded to drive up US highway one from LA to seattle. Bucket list drive with my daughter. We chronicled the trip for the Seattle PCA, and they published us on the cover and a 5 page color spread. Glad to be here.

Year: 1987
Make: Porsche
Model: 911 Cabriolet
Style/Body: 2 Door
Engine: MFI 3.2L H-6
Country of Assembly: Germany

Hi Everyone,

My name is Chris and I split my residence between OC, SoCal and SWFL so will be nice getting to know both the FL and CA gang on here. I have always been a Porsche fan since I was a kid and still remember when the 959 was released. That was the “one” to have growing up in the late 80’s. Over the last 15 years, I have had several BMW’s, especially the M cars and finally ordered and took delivery of my first Porsche, which was almost like a magic trick to make happen with the challenging process of receiving an allocation; that alone felt like a huge accomplishment. Other than playing with cars, in my spare time I am an avid runner, snow skier and mountain biker. Looking forward to learning some new things about Porsche’s and cars in general on this forum and sharing some of what I know. -C

It's great to see a car driven like you've driven yours - fantastic, actually! I'd say you know your Carrera quite well.

Welcome to Carpokes - glad you're here!

Welcome aboard Chris! I wonder what percent of Porsche owners have had BMWs in the past? I bet it's pretty high. I've had several and thought they were great, but the older the better.

I have owned several Porsches over the past 50 years. Currently own a low mileage 81 SC Targa . I am the second owner and had the car since 1986. The car is a weekend driver ( summer and fall ) and is immaculate all original. PCA member for over 35 years.
