Most people leave the plastic screen protector on (the one with the little yellow tab), and that works quite well. Unfortunately, mine looked kinda rough when I took delivery, and I am not a huge fan of the matte screen on the 718. I would rather have a high gloss screen, to match the high gloss carbon trim.

I bought a high gloss screen protector. As small of a mod it is, I love the effect :)

Smart move!

Installed one on our '17 BS and definitely preferred it to the matte screen. Very inexpensive mod and so easy to clean....thus, I had one in "stock" prior to our BGTS delivery.

I installed this on my ‘21 Spyder. The Amazon link doesn’t list my model or year, but it fits (just a smidge smaller, but I suspect that it’s that way for all 718’s).

Once you peel away the backing and press it in place, any edges seem to disappear and it blends in nicely, just like it came that way from the factory.

To help center and place it, I used built up blue painters tape to make a shelf for the bottom to rest on (just cut into the roll with a razor blade, down about 5 layers and remove it, creating a *thick* piece of masking tape). Trim it to your desired length, then stick horizontally about 1/16th up from the bottom edge of the pcm screen.

Yes, you’ll be sticking the blue tape mostly to the buttons, but the tape should stay in place. The glass should sit/rest nicely on top of it, then use the supplied register tape to the glass face and blue tape for when you’re ready to remove the backing film from the glass.
Your tape tip is good - it helped keep the screen where it needed to be. Thanks!

Today my friend John @Leader switched my hood crest to the new Turbonite one. A big thanks to John. I really like the look against my GT Silver car.

Late last week I bought a used set of exhaust tips, they should arrive tomorrow. Over the weekend I caved and ordered radiator grills from RGS. At a cars and coffee one of my track friends mentioned he was doing a track day at the end of the month and I realized track season is just about to start, I need to get things prepared and booked. I ordered another bottle of Endless brake fluid, will do a partial flush next weekend.

J-Dub did you order the side vent guards from the Radiator Grill Store. I really found them beneficial along with the front guards and they have a great video to show the install --- works perfectly and it just happens he is using a GTS to install said. I had some OPR in the driver's side grill from my track event this past Saturday and I know it will catch more stuff in the future --- good purchase for a fellow Trackratte -- Das Porsche spellink in German, ha!

I did not order the side grills, just the front three. When I put the GT4 side scoops on there were already factory screens in there, I hear it was a running change for 2021 and newer.

The front I am so conflicted on because I don't want to do anything that impedes airflow. Hopefully I will like them.

Installed the exhaust tips tonight after dark on the driveway with a flashlight, will check in the morning if they are straight. The factory exhaust tips are oval but not in a good way, they never sat right with me.

Hammered on the GTS this past Saturday during Time Trials and never saw any crazy temps , but I do know they grabbed some track clagg for sure. Your note did remind me that for over 20 years I have sucked out 2 pints of antifreeze out with a turkey baster and filled the fluid back up with Water Wetter. Forgot years back with a Competition Orange Boss 302 while racing at Hi Plains Raceway in Colorado ( close to a mile high ) and the little Blue Oval Beast was running hot. The local drivers suggested I get some Water Wetter and I just felt silly as I realized I had not done it with this car. A good friend who lived in Aurora brought back two bottles for Sunday and she never was steamy that day. Some say it doesn't work, but my experience over many years has proven otherwise to me , but then I always use a couple bottles also.

The grills will do a good job for you on track --- cool you already have some with the GT4 side pods.

So I have never loved the exhaust tips on my 718, they are oval but not in a good way. When the GT4RS came out with the tips that look a bit like a turbine I got excited... until you saw the price.

https://www.suncoastparts.com/product/sku718rstips.html

There was some that popped up on Aliexpress that are just over $300 and look the part, if there was a criticism is they are a bit small and don't fill out the opening.

Last weekend a guy posted that a set he had custom made were for sale as he was parting out his mods as he was selling his car I decided to go for them.

Trial fit, left side is the new and right side is the OEM. Dark picture as I did the trial at night after work.

I have not messed with the alignment much yet but am happy with the placement. There is room to move them fore and aft just like the stock tips.

RGS front bumper grills showed up today, they look good, the octagons look the most OEM of any grills I have seen in the marketplace. Will likely attempt install this weekend.
