Looked at that one quite a bit. I do like the tail lights – but the rest of it is over the top ‘race car’ look. It’s an interesting rendering but I don’t think I would want to daily drive that. Might as well just buy a neon green lambo…..944m3 wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 9:17 am Happened to come across this while Googling something. This would look amazing. I actually like the tail lights design.

Amen. All 944 diehards should be rooting for Chris on this, and for everyone else who embarks on projects to celebrate the 944 for that matter -- from father/son projects to over-the-top SEMA builds!gruhsy wrote: Fri Feb 14, 2025 5:23 pm I am a very happy person always
I just don’t let negativity of others bring me down.
Let’s not derail Chris’s thread.
I hope that this project works out.

BTW - not bothered by ANY comments. we asked for thoughts and opinions – even ones that don’t like it. You will never please everybody but the 944 would is a community, one of the reasons I swear by the car. We are listening to all input.

I guess you don’t know my history (more of a Rennlist thing). I started making a 60-2 tooth crank trigger system about 20 years ago. Laser cut thrigger wheel that mounts between the balance belt pulley and AC/Aly pulley with a billet sensor bracket. Also have a CNCed distributor plate cover with a cam sensor.944m3 wrote: Sat Feb 15, 2025 7:16 am Chris you mentioned standalone. How do you plan to get tdc to ECU? Custom flywheel or other method. Or are you sticking to batch?
Batch is for old people! Take a look at a Link Fury, that’s the ECU for the project.

The irony in California is that we can't use sequential due to smog rules, even though --everything else equal -- it would result in less smog.
