One of my first mods

The guy that did all the fabrication changes on my 2013 Boss 302S got -3 degrees up front on my Cayman GTS , so what did I do this week to my car you ask, well the answer is I spent more money! I did not expect much more than -2-6 or 2.7 so I figured -2.4 would be fine in the back, which was where he could max out there. After the good news of -3 neg. degrees up front I made my Credit Card scream a bit more for parts at Rennline for the back in of the little Croc.

I will admit to one complaint about retirement, there is not always those little extra funds, and when I was in Sales it just meant work a little harder, sell another vehicle, and those parts are paid for. Funny how racing gives some of motivation to work even harder , haha!

My main issue with retirement is the amount of free time - I spend endless hours thinking about the next car mod.

Shortened a set of GT4 front sway bar end links. Cut them with a cut off wheel, threaded the ends and assembled with a coupling and jam nuts. Took a few iterations of trimming to get the lengths just right and when in the proper orientation.

The normal path when using a GT4 bar is to use aftermarket end links since the pickup point on the strut is different between the GT4 and GTS. Tarett makes a really good ones but since I already had the GT4 links and no other use for them I am going to use these for now to see how they work, if not another thing in the cart from Tarett.

Modified and zip tied on lower air ducts/brake cooling ducts to my GTS lower control arms... taking inspiration from Tim above.

Swapped on my track tires as I have a unexpected track day tomorrow. First time out with the GT4 sway bars, starting with full soft in the front and full stiff in the rear.

Oh dang Larry C., I am here in Nebraska laughing with you , because what you state is soooo true. Retirement means your new friends are the companies that let you ramble on about what you want to modify and those poor folks who lend a friendly ear ( that means they let ole retired farts ramble on about their future plans ) and actually seem concerned and caring. Larry, those folks are like chatting with our Barber or our Barkeeper in the old days ----- auto- immune therapy.
We are not immune in retirement to wanting more car stuff. Love your post, I share your illness!

Yesterday I extended my CTEK battery connection under the hood/bonnet to make it oh so very slightly easier to connect for overnight trickles,
it wasn’t necessary but my brain insisted on getting it done
