First, welcome to Carpokes. We have a handful of 992 Turbo owners already (including myself)! Only place that seems grill-like would be the black plastic slats over the rear engine. There are a few fans under there, but can't imagine a single badge would have much impact. Maybe post a picture of the badge in question. Not sure how it normally attaches, but if it's two small screws set up for a thin wire mesh, I'm sure we can come up with a mounting solution. That's very much the type of thing we do here at the Carpokes international headquarters (i.e, my garage).

Curious to know how that badge is attached to the plastic grill?

Q.) Curious to know how that badge is attached to the plastic grill?
A.) The Roundel comes with two rather long threaded bolts and a metal backing plate. The location shown on my grille is really the only place where the spacing of the bolts can get past the grilles and the louvers without drilling any holes.

Here's the underside of my 'hood' -- not a lot of room for badge hardware and unfortunately the only spots are right above the fans. I spoke with another Carpokean today who tells me Porsche put a badge on the Sports Classic (i.e., the manual transmission capital-T turbo car). He tells me Porsche added some type of bracket to hold it so it doesn't sit against the plastic and potentially scratch it; and they installed it up and away from the fans. He promised to post pics soon, so am looking forward to seeing that. My plan is to come up with some kind of mount that keeps the badge from contacting the car (or maybe a rubber-pad to protect the car) and keep it away from the flow of the fans. Stay tuned on that.

Tom,
The pictures of the Grill Badge mounting on the Porsche 992 Sport Classic (SC) are below. This should provide a good look at the SC Factory Grill badge mounting platform that we discussed. It appears the SC badge is fastened to the platform with double sided tape or possibly with a small bolt that mounts to the underside of the Grill badge.
As we discussed the Porsche Heritage badge is a smaller diameter than the standard PCA Grill badge. If say the platform diameter was the size of the PCA it would be large enough for most of the round Grill badges that folks may want to mount.
