Anyone want a leather-covered 944 dash? It's never been installed after it was done by Classic 9 maybe 6 or 7 years ago. I bought it from someone who had it done and then had to sell the car. I had planned to install it, but ended up having my original dash recovered locally in the colors I really wanted. I harvested the defrost strip for my dash, so that is missing from this one, but Classic 9 still lists them for sale. See link. Shipping would likely cost a fortune, so would love to find someone in the SF Bay Area who could pick it up. :) I'm thinking $750, which I think is a bargain, but seeing it go to good use in a deserving car more than anything. :)

Still looking for find a good home for this. Had it out for more pictures today -- it really is a pretty dash. I did notice an indented area on top of the dash where something was pressing against it. Didn't notice that before so it could be temporary bed-head. Otherwise I suspect a good leather guy could smooth it out with a little heat. The leather is perfect and the whole thing just deserves to be in someone's car. :)

It is what i've always called linen, but not 100% sure that was the official name. It matches the common tan/sand colored interior you see in half the 944 turbos, whatever its official name.

Linen was only used in 88 and 89. The other colors are similar but darker.

Any idea if this would work in a 968? I could look in PET, I suppose, but that would be a little less engaging...

I believe it would bolt in, but this has no airbag if that's something you'd like to preserve.... (also the glove box latch is slightly different if that matters to you).

I think this would be what i need for the 1989 Turbo I am beginning restoration of. Do you know what the color code is for the bottom half?
