Hey all
Does anyone know if you can retrofit a ceramic brake set up in a GT4 RS that came with steel brakes?
Asking for a friend😌😉
Wasn’t sure if the cylinders would work or brake lines needed to be different etc

I've poked around and see references to people doing it on earlier models -- 987, 991, etc. Seems like you need at least the rotors, calipers, pads, master, sensors, lines and clips and in one case new spindles. Whether you also need computers/controllers on the most modern cars would be my question. Unless someone has already done it on a GT4RS -- which seems pretty unlikely -- I'm guessing no one could give you a complete list of factory parts that differ without access to the factory parts PET for both cars (and a lot of time on their hands).

Well
That doesn’t sound very promising 😢
Thanks

To be real clear, I am just speculating based on what I've read about other Porsche models. But it seems pretty unlikely that it has gotten any easier....

If you don’t mind aftermarket there is a company that’s is already selling sets. Let me look for the info.

I’ve heard sourcing oem is very difficult right now. Deman did it on a few cars and I don’t think it requires too much equipment. They might be the people to reach out to.

I meant they did it on spyder, not rs. That is new territory but I’m sure they would know.
