I am considering a partial exhaust modification replacing only the CATS, on my 2021 992 Turbo S. As it is a daily driver, the main focus is on improving the sound. I have heard about Fab speed , Soul and JCR but welcome opinions, recommendations on these products. I would like to avoid a modification that creates emissions and CEL issues. Thanks.

Try Sam at ByDesign, he did right by me on my 991.1 Turbo

Coming out of an 991.1S, my only complaint for my 992S is exhaust sound. I researched exhaust systems extensively and here is where I landed:

If changing cats and exhaust, I would go to the Soul 3 inch valveless system.

If buying just cats alone, I would go with Europipe 100 cell cats.

If changing just exhaust and NOT cats, you need to decide between stainless steel v. Titanium and valved v. Valveless because sound is different. For SS, I would go with Tubi. For Ti, I would go with JCR if wanted valveless. If wanted to keep the exhaust valves then Ti Andropovich is the way to go. Substantial price increase for valves however. Flat 6 Motorsports has audio for each on its website although nothing better than hearing them in person if you can.

I have a JCR Ti system which I bought on a group buy with an 15% discount. Love the sound …..but have had some serious install issues with unsatisfactory customer service by JCR (in England).

When warranty expires, I might install either Soul cats and exhaust or Europipe cats on current JCR Ti exhaust. Might also add an M Engineering tune. Soul, Europipe and M Engineering customer service appears outstanding.

If looking for performance and sound, I think Soul 3 inch valveless with tune is the solution.

Hope these thoughts help others. Your opinions may differ.

Thank you, I really appreciate your response with the various options. I clearly have some more home work to do.
I am less familiar with the Europipe 100 cats and will look into that option. John from Soul has been very responsive and I understand that they have new cats available which have less of a CEL issue on the 992.
