After that it appears to have sat for at least ten years since it was driven regularly. I was optimistic that the engine would be good but it's burning about a quart of oil every 50 miles so I think its well overdue for the full treatment.

So here goes the rebuild, my goal is to make a mechanically sorted street car that I don't have to worry about looking good. Im hoping to make around 400hp with the 3.0 once it's all back together. The start of this thread might be a little jumbled while I catch up on the stuff that I've done over the past year but after that I'll try and at least add a weekly update. Hopefully this keeps me accountable enough to keep some steady progress going on the car.

I'm super excited to get this car going again, I've been caught up with other projects for the past 2 years since I bought it originally so I've had plenty of time to think of stuff to do with this car.
It looks to have been all over the States, originally built in Texas, and made it's way up the east coast to New York, then to Idaho, and finally to Seattle with me. If anybody recognizes this car I would love to know more about its past! I found these pics of it from a 2010 for sale ad on Rennlist, but aside from that I only have bits and pieces of the history.

I'll try and add a few more posts in the next couple days with more photos and with all of the things I've done so far, hopefully this can serve as a good Log book of sorts for this project.

This car looks very familiar. around 1999-2001, I owned one like it (maybe the same one?).

I believe the last picture you post it is when it was advertised in Charleston SC next to a MY silver rose (repainted black) with a 3.0L as well.
